i just finished a case of immunity and holy shit that king really was just. absolutely charmed by columbo the moment they met. columbo may have solved the case with his intelligence and dedication, but he caught the guy bc of his charisma and "just a little guy" charm. also accusing a man of murder and then handing him a written apology is the funniest thing columbo has ever done
as an arab i'm telling you from experience--if there's anything an arab loves, it's a little guy who's charming and sly
I’m someone who gets happy around holidays but I’m also someone who firmly believes you gotta portion that shit. Don’t start Halloween until October. Don’t start christmas until December, etc. you’ll 100% lose the magic otherwise
Seeing as Netflix just cancelled The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself, which got great reviews but was barely promoted, I think we need to take some of the advertisement of the show somewhat into our own hands.
Some ways to bolster engagement and awareness of the show could include:
• Commenting (respectfully and politely ofc) for L&C content or stating how excited you are for L&C to come out on all of Netflix’s socials (e.g. Netflix US, Netflix UK, Netflix Geeked on Twitter and Instagram). Essentially just try to engage with their socials and make it about L&C in some way
• Start tagging other adjacent fandoms on some of our Tumblr posts or on Twitter e.g The Bastard Son, Shadow and Bone, Percy Jackson, The Irregulars (which also got canned and has a similar vibe) etc, or making posts which highlights parallels between L&C and other pieces of media
• Recommending online and by word of mouth e.g. book recommendation pages, BookTube, BookTok, referencing how the books are going to be a show blah blah blah
Idk if this seems sorta pedantic but I genuinely believe the show could be a hit if the proper amount of people watch it. Netflix cans shows that do not perform well in the first 28 days.
This article explains it a bit better:
Netflix cancelations are plentiful and although there are stats to suggest Netflix’s cancelation rate is about the same as other streamers a
Don't hold me to talking about this ever again but suddenly thinking about Phi and ztd aftermath and how do you even deal with being excruciatingly aware of the fact that your own life and the ones of every single person around you and humanity itself would be improved if your stupid evil paradox twin hadn't been born so he wouldn't have engineered this nightmare scenario where two people you met less than a month ago are stuck together and end up being your parents and having you in a bathroom stall in some shitty alternate reality shortly before starving to death and that's when that stupid evil twin does not successfully bring about the apocalypse that you died and suffered over and over to have a chance at preventing but that act of having gone back is actually kind of what made sure it would happen because, again, it's what made sure he'd be born and you're twins so by extension those things would be better off if you hadn't been born either like what are these implications why do we not get Phi character development aside from family hug uwu why is she fridged and then we find out she dyes her hair and then it ends it's especially frustrating when her being ✨mysterious✨ was such a played up part of her characterization in vlr someone help me
ppl up in arms about “sentence mixing being way better than AI voice generators” be so for real. theyre different things. joe biden Pills. Now. Isn't roxys whole thing being a racecar driver? Why can't she drive?
a racecar and a van are two very different things it turns out! she can drive, technically, but accommodating for a van in comparison to a small racecar is quite the change, especially on a populated road :P
