In honour of Pride Month and my Resident Evil brainworms coming back since Resident Evil Veronica was announced, I really hope Capcom confirms that Leon’s secret spouse is Chris Redfield.

Just think of how big of a deal this would be to the LGBTQ community. THE Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield, two of the most popular and undeniably hot characters in gaming, are canonically queer men!! HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE???? Especially right now, where tension and the threat against queer people’s safety and representation is at an all-time high and it feels like literally everyday something new that is threatening our lives is happening, something like this would be such an awesome thing to see.

Then there’s also the fact that their relationship would genuinely make sense. Don’t get me wrong, I love myself some Ada x Leon, but I fear Ada would be better off without Leon she’s too busy doing her job and getting that bag (ily Ada)… And I was never a big fan of Claire x Leon, mostly because I always disliked the jokes about Chris insisting Leon to have a kid with his sister to ‘continue the Redfield bloodline.’ Like… That’s your sister man, and it’s pretty objectifying. My queen Claire deserves better than this guys. 4chan users are so weird.

Leon is a deeply troubled and traumatized man, considering everything he’d been through. The shit Leon has had to suffer, the people he’s lost, everything that would have culminated from his past experiences as a DSO agent. Hardly anybody else would be able to understand what it feels like and meet with him at that level like Chris Redfield could, and Leon could do the same. Everyone else who could’ve been able to share that trauma are either dead, Leon’s multiple blonde daughters, or perhaps just not close enough to Leon for it to feel like they were just slapped onto Leon’s side solely for the purpose of being ‘Leon’s married partner’ in my opinion.

There’s also the end of RE9 where Chris sends his men to come down and save him and Grace, and Leon commenting about sum ‘I’m sure I’ll run into him (Chris) at some point.’ Yeah. Back home, after he saved you and your most recently acquired blonde daughter from death!!

I also just want to see gamer bros get mad about Capcom going woke tbh LMAOO. I revel in their tantrums.

I know its pretty unlikely, especially in this current world climate, but I’ll keep holding onto hope that Chreon is canon 🤭

im glad people are finally giving Yasuhiro the love he deserves and using him for more than "haha funny weed man". the joke is so old and tired we get it you think Hiro's the useless stoner character we get it

but seeing more art and fics where Hiro is given the role of class 78's big brother/giving him a friendship with Daiya/using his clairvoyance for jokes/giving him other mystic abilities (like seeing ghosts, seeing the past, being an empath, etc) is so refreshing
