Wow, nomination time opens in just 3 days! Here’s a chronological list of some of my fics from this year and info about each one. This is not everything I’ve written and posted during ‘17 (so it’s not like you can’t nominate anything else) but these were the ones I especially wanted to highlight based on the award categories. Molly takes the overnight Sherlock watch and is at first a little concerned about how to keep him busy, but they eventually fall into a rather revealing conversation. A conversation that ends up being exactly what they both needed. (Post TLD, angst, hurt/comfort, light romance)
Complicated Little Emotions- multi-chapter, rated T, complete
Before Molly even saw his name on the screen of her phone, she was already thinking about Sherlock Holmes. Both she and Sherlock went into that staged phone call with some unseen baggage. Now that the dust has settled, they’ll need to rebuild what was very nearly lost. (Post TFP, ILY scene aftermath, angst, drama, romance, happy ending)
Half Agony, Half Hope- multi-chapter, rated T, complete

Sherlock Holmes knows the name Molly Hooper very well. But he hasn’t laid eyes on her for many years. It feels like a lifetime ago. But when he’s finally forced to see her again, memories and regrets come crashing in. He’ll be forced to come to terms with their past, and will find himself daring to wonder if there might be some hope for their future. Molly and her flat became such an integral part of Sherlock's life and happiness. But how did that all start? (first sleepover HC, bed sharing, friendship, light romance)
On Again, Off Again- one shot, rated T
Molly has just had an extremely unexpected conversation with Mummy Holmes and it’s time to call Sherlock out on some rather bad behavior. (fluff, humor, romance)
Unsaid- one shot, rated T
What if Molly never picked up the phone? The emotional context might just destroy him beyond repair. (TFP AU, ILY/coffin scene AU, angst, happy ending, drama, romance)
It’s Left Me So Undone- one shot, rated T
The emotional aftermath of the ILY phone call for Molly Hooper turns out to be positive in some ways as she realizes it’s finally time to start fresh. And it turns out she’s not the only one ready to try something new. (Post TFP, ILY scene aftermath, angst, drama, romance)
Louder Than Words- multi-chapter, rated T, complete
Sherlock asks Molly for a little extra assistance after his faked suicide. And as usual, she seems to be just what he needs. But little does Sherlock know, he’ll end up learning more than he bargained for. (Post TRF, Pre TEH, canon compliant, undercover fake marriage, angst, drama, romance)
Pretense- multi-chapter, rated T, complete
Shortly after the case of the Abominable Bride, Sherlock Holmes is given another case. But this time he finds himself temporarily without an assistant. This provides the perfect opportunity to offer the position to the other Doctor in his life...and it happens that Molly Hooper is currently very much in need of distraction. (Post TAB, Victorian AU, friendship, romance, happy ending)
Strands- multi-chapter, rated T, in progress
Among Sherlock Holmes talents is the ability to know exactly what a client sitting in his chair needs and to execute it perfectly. He may even be able to deduce something more obscure, like why a style change is needed in someone's life. What he does not deal with as naturally is his own personal life. But one of his most loyal and long time clients, Molly Hooper, is about to help him improve in that particular area. (Hairdresser AU, friendship, romance, humor, happy ending)

Say It Again - Post TFP. Molly didn't know what time it was, only that it must be the wee hours of the morning. Many hours and buckets of tears since that horrible phone conversation.
Sleep With Me - When Sherlock offered the sleepy pathologist his bed he really hadn't intended on joining her
The Beginning of a Beautiful Work Arrangement - Barts needs a new pathologist, Sherlock Holmes knows just the person for the job.
Solve Crimes, Have Dinner. - Solve crimes and have dinner - what else would Sherlock and Molly do on a date?
Kiss Me (Like You'll Never See Me Again) - Takes place during HLV. After the events with Magnussen, Sherlock stops by the morgue to tell Molly goodbye.
Covered In I Love You - Molly had the door opened before Sherlock had even reached it. She had heard his footfalls as they pounded along the hallway towards her flat, fast and frantic, just like the beating of her own heart. She felt like she had been waiting forever for him to arrive and now he was here. Finally.

Soooo from what I can tell, I've been almost on my own with fic promo for the SAMFAs so far. Now obviously there's no requirement to do any promo, so that's fine of course whatever people want to do or not do! But since I do seem to be one of the few doing it, it made me want to say a little something.
Just want to state that for me, the promo stuff truly is just part of the fun. Sure, it's meant to draw interest and perhaps encourage nominations. But the way I'm looking at it, it's also just a fun activity and another way to share my fics. So if I don't end up in any top nominations or get any awards, it's all good because I still got to take part and enjoy something about the whole occasion. What I wouldn't want is for anyone to get the impression that my steady stream of promo posts reflects the level of importance I place on actually getting an award. Of course it's lovely to get something like that but ultimately I am genuinely looking at this stuff as lighthearted fun.
Maybe I'm being overly self-conscious and nobody gives a crap anyway lol, but I just felt like I wanted to be super clear where I stand on this.

@mizjoely @sherlolly I have a tiny little SAMFA 2017 question... I noticed that in 2013 (I think that's the last year it was done?) the fic categories were all nominated and awarded twice. Once in a K-T rating and then also in an M rating. I was just curious whether that was how it would be done this time around. I know you posted the general categories but I don't believe there were any rating details. Naturally there are a couple categories that don't lend themselves to K-T, but I guess my question is for the remaining categories. Just curious! And thanks for all your organizing efforts!😉
