I am making this for the SAMFA thing though I feel weird about self-promotion personally lol. I joined the fandom in 2017, therefore all of my fics were written in 2017.
UPDATE: I HAVE UPDATED THIS MASTERPOST TO CONTAIN ALL OF MY SHERLOLLY WORKS! 2017-2019 so far!
I found a survey monkey that said one of my fics had been nominated for best “angst.”
1. Yes, I google my handle infrequently cause I get curious to see if people love me. It’s called an overinflated, and very fragile, ego.
2. I was unaware that anything I’ve ever written could be classified as angst, considering all the tooth-rotting fluff which follows any minor upset.
3. I’m curious about the person who nominated it, and wish to know what gauge they use for this kind of thing. I have one particular fic in mind which occasionally haunts my waking thoughts. It’s uncomfortable in the workplace.
4. Whenever I google my handle, I find so many interesting things. I’ma keep doing it.
Since there seem to be some misunderstandings about the ways stories will be nominated and voted for in the SAMFAs, this is the process as I understand it:
Stories are nominated by anyone who wants to do so (authors, author’s readers, tiny baby martian picollos, whoever) & emailed with links to a special email that will be set up by @sherlolly and I
Nominated stories will be stored on a spreadsheet once it’s been confirmed that they do meet the criteria (i.e., were written in 2017, actually fit the category for which they were nominated)
When the nomination period ends, each story in each category will be counted up (Example: Story 1 in AU has 2 nominations, Story 2 has 7, etc.)
The 4 or 5 stories in each category that receive the most nominations are put forth as the choices for people to vote for
The SAMFA runners DO NOT judge winners, the voters do
