“THE WASTE OF THE WORLD BECOMES MY ART”
Today we were introduced to our first studio project for this semester. I am really excited about this semester but I am nervous about it too. I have never done anything like this before and it is a new path that I will be travelling down. I feel as though it will put me in a position where I am going to learn a lot not only about what I am doing but also about myself.
The First project is all about cutting and pasting to form various collages. I like this concept and it allows for a very explorative process. Just doing and being consumed by the making process. We have three outcomes that need to be handed in; a physical cut and paste collage, a digital collage and a video or time based collage.
I am looking forward to experimenting and exploring different things with this project and as Clint said "with this one you can't be right and you also can't be wrong." That makes me feel more relieved and allows me to have fun and just be creative with it.
