AND YOU CAN ALL WITNESS... How cute we are. bythegracioussavingcall
I’m just rambling about my fab partner, tbh.
Just finished a hard 8 hours.
I’m sweaty, tired, sore, and can’t get the mix of fryer oil and whatever-in-the-hell-died-in-the-dumpster off me after a scalding shower, and I have to go back again tonight for another eight.
I’ve had worse days, for sure. This one was still tough. I will say though, the best part of the whole ordeal was coming down the home stretch, about 30 minutes until the end. With the sun already on its way up, I suddenly remembered the way my partner looks when they smile at me when they think I’m not looking. I remembered the sound of their laughter, and it sent a blush up my spine and out onto my cheeks and for the first time this morning, I genuinely smiled. It really is all about the little things. So, hey, bythegracioussavingcall, if you’re seeing this, thanks for getting me through the tough stuff, even when you don’t know you’re doing it. I love you.
Now I’m gonna go to sleep. If previous incidents are any indication, (i.e what I can come home to after a really long and hard day at work) COME ON NIGHT TERRORS! I’M READY FOR YOU, YOU JERKS.
bythegracioussavingcall I just realized that we have these bomb-ass cookies at work called "trash can cookies" (because they're loaded with chocolate and other junk). Just thought you'd find that funny.
Just saying, I have a really wonderful partner. And I'll object politely if anyone says any different.

The biggest issue about being in a relationship where one person's favorite thing is football and the one of the other person's favorite things is theatre, is that sometimes, they'll tell me about one of their favorite songs from a musical or scenes from a play (Act 2, Scene 3, for example) and I'll always repeat, either in my head or under my breath, "Act advances 4-3 on aggregate."
