but hmmm i can’t think of any tbh, i tend to mostly read fics that are completed

but i love allllllll AUs, i can’t choose :( but i’ve always had a soft spot for office AUs and hospital AUs, idk why. there are so few fics like that tho and it makes me sad. where’s my chin and danny makeouts against the printer and my steve with his shirt half untucked walking out of a cubicle with cath behind him?? (ﾉ◕︿◕)ﾉ

also college AUs and teacher AUs and mundane AUs in general. or space AUs!!! i just love AUs sfm <3

23. Has fluff ever made you cry? What about angst?

fluff no tbh. i’ve made awful noises and hid in my pile of blankets and re-read the same sentence 50 times and all that. got misty eyes but that’s it. angst though? yep, most definitely. i’ve cried quite a lot :P

I do think self care means different things for different people. There are times when I need to watch TV and hear nice, comforting things, and then there are times when I need to find ways to clean up or do "responsible" stuff. The tone of the post just kind of hit me the wrong way and made me feel bad, because that stuff is still really hard for me. Anyway, thanks. We should talk soon. *hugs*

I agree. It's not even that I 100% thought I was wrong for finding those self care posts helpful, but that it felt like that's what the post was telling me, and I reacted emotionally to that and was trying to process why it hit me so hard. It's still really hard for me to find a balance between "be kind to yourself" self care and "take responsibility for yourself" self care, and there are days when hearing "take responsibility!" too harshly hits me right where it hurts and makes me feel guilty, overwhelmed, and like a failure. So while I objectively agreed with everything the post was saying, especially with regards to talking realistically about the uglier side of mental illness, I ended up feeling upset and confused because it was sort of unclear who was being chastised.
