Earlier protest in Sanandaj, located in the Northwest, Kurdish region of Iran. It is the country’s second largest Kurdish city and has been very active in the uprising. Here the protestors are chanting, “Jin! Jiyan! Azadi!” which translates to “Woman! Life! Freedom!”
