Endangered Species (Wayne Shorter cover) by Esperanza Spalding (featuring Lalah Hathaway) from the album Radio Music Society - Sand art by Kseniya Simonova
Sudan is the world’s worst humanitarian crisis. Nearly four million children are dying of hunger. People are being buried alive. Hundreds of thousands of innocents have been massacred by the RSF and allied militias, while the United Arab Emirates are still supplying weapons to the RSF. The Masalit genocide is ongoing. A constant flow of foreign weapons is fueling the war and breaching the Darfur arms embargo. Both warring sides are using Chinese-manufactured advanced drone jammers, mortars and anti-material rifles. The RSF have also been reported to be using recently manufactured armoured personnel carriers from the UAE.
Wake up. Free Sudan! 🇸🇩
BOYCOTT THE UAE!

Animal Footsteps
Short film I made for my experimental animation class last week. I was inspired by the pine barren’s sandy floor in my favorite hiking spot near my home. I love seeing the animal prints.
Oksana Merhut, known as the Sand Fairy, creates moving pictures in sand. She is currently on tour to raise money for the Ukrainian armed forces.
Dating back to ancient times when Australian Aboriginals, the Navajo Indians and Tibetan monks used sand and crushed gemstones to create paintings, sand animation began gaining popularity in Ukraine in 2006. Oksana Merhut mastered the art form in 2014 and wrote a professional teaching program for it. She notes the therapeutic quality sand animation has, especially among the children she worked with that have been displaced from Russia's full-scale invasion.
