So far Sandrider by Angie Sage has been an interesting read. It’s nice to see how deep the world building goes & to see what parts had the groundwork laid in the Septimus Heap series. Also, been loving the full page illustrations. It’s nice to get to learn more about Dandra too.
My first reaction to Jillie Djinn haunting in this series though was ‘oh great, not another Tertius Fume’.

I just received these in the mail today, and I’m so happy I could cry!! From the left, the first two are books in two of my favorite series. The first is A Gathering of Shadows by V. E. Schwab, from her incredible Shades of Magic series. I read the first book over the summer and absolutely loved it, so I bought the second one, too. And she just announced three more books set in the same world, so I was even more excited to receive this today!! The second book is SandRider by Angie Sage, from the TodHunter Moon series, the companion series to her Septimus Heap series. The Septimus Heap series has been one of my favorite series for a very long time, and I’m definitely looking forward to reuniting with some of my favorite book characters of all time when I read this one. The third book from the left isn’t a book at all, actually. It’s a book journal that I found on Amazon!! It’s really perfect for book reviewers, so I got it to help me improve my reviews. There are pages in it to keep track of books you read and what you thought of them, books you want to read, your favorite books, and more!! I’d definitely be willing to write a more detailed post about it if anyone would like!! I’m really looking forward to reading / using all three of these, and I can’t stop smiling right now :1
