"Hmmm as expect..you've got quite the goofy look." Here's Benchmark, a hand on Gravel's chin, steering her gaze left and right.
"You must be waiting on something to do, it's a poor value to just stand around you know. Someone like yourself should be making themselves useful, that is our selling point after all."
After a few more turns she retracts her hand, "though being without directions makes you seem pitiful, here I've a use for you."
She stepped back and tilted her head, "What? You are Gravel correct, I am speaking to property aren't I?"
It was hard to surprise the Zalak, given her perpetual awareness of her surroundings- it meant that most sneak attacks and attempts at stealth were easily thwarted, simply because she kept her eyes open and stuck to corners where she could.
No, the surprise came when this woman strutted up to her and abruptly grabbed her, turning her head with little resistance, again and again- she knew this gesture. Gravel was well acquainted with this treatment.
She just never thought she’d experience it here on the Ark. Most knew better, or simply didn’t know at all.
“ Waiting on something... no, ma’am, I’m ensuring the safety and comfort of my fellow operators... its my duty as a knight, and a bodyguard. “
She’ll choose not to react to that last comment.
Once Benchmark’s hand retracted, Gravel would take a moment to touch her fingers to where the Kuranta’s hold had been, before her familiar, sweet smile overtook her expression.
“ Property~? No, ma’am... I’m an operator of Rhodes Island, and a knight of Kazimierz. The markings on my shoulder must have confused you...~ “
“ Please forgive me if I don’t recognize you, however...~ “
