I don't think Dorian meant it about Orym. I do think all of this is still news to Orym, and whatever else happened offscreen between ExU and C3 to cement their relationship, Dorian has still told him nothing. not out of a lack of trust, but out of fear that it would change Orym's opinion of him in some way. and there is, and I say this with canon and word-of-god backup, nothing he values more than Orym's opinion of him

so does Orym think Dorian meant it about him? mmhmmhmmhmm that's such a juicy idea isn't it?? will this set them back to the tentative footing they were on circa ExU episode six???? I swear to god if Orym keeps fading into the scenery and letting everything happen without commenting on it I'm gonna flip (he's never gonna stop doing that)

at this point I have watched everything from "c'mon, man" to "you get there safely! >:)" and the breakfast scene multiple times a day, and the prioritized list of Things I Would Like To Know Orym's Read On goes like:

1. "can you trust these people?" "I don't know" 2. "and Orym?" "Orym is my very good friend" 3. "does that mean you're like betrothed?" "no, not technically" 👀👀👀👀 and 4. "do you want the throne?" "not particularly. not now" (what the fuck does that mean Dorian. did you ever want it?? does that mean you don't want it yet or that you don't want it now that you've seen the outside world. what the fuck is up with that)
