Presenting, Monster Mash; A Week Of Monsters. A week-long event, sponsored by several of Santa Monica’s local businesses. This engaging week is sure to be full of boos, screams, and, spooky treats. This event will lead up to the Monster Mash Costume Party which will be part two of the event.
This event will start on Monday, October 21st and go until Monday, October 28th. In roleplay time this will be a week long as well. (Please keep in mind there will be a Monster Mash Ball— we will drop after the 28th)
The tag for the event will be santamevent3. Everything from pictures, outfits, threads, and etc all need to be under the tag. Starters should have both the santamstarter and santamevent3 tags.
This event will be a free for all — but we do encourage you to reach out to those who you don’t usually interact with.
This event will not have daily postings — feel free to use any of the settings if you like. This is not time structured with midnight posts. This will be the event post.
This event is NOT mandatory, but we do encourage you to participate. If you will be out for whatever reason or don’t want to be involved please let us know!
Any big plots should be discussed with the admins before playing them out on the dash. If you have any big plots you want to do let us know.
Considering this is a week long festival there is not dress code. Costumes are not required but are encouraged!

Where: Howie’s House of Haunts
Take a night off and get your screams out at Howie’s House of Haunts. Being rated #1 in Santa Monica’s haunted houses is a big expectation, but this is one haunted house that won’t let you down. It’s sure to bring out every fear you have, use it against you for a thrill. If you can make it up to the 5th floor consider yourself one of the few, because if most haven’t If you can make it to the top you get your full money’s back. Admission to this event is $150.
Where: Jeff’s Haunted Forest
Take a Hayride through Jeff’s Haunted Forest and get ready to scream. It will take you deep into the Forest so get your blankets ready because by the end you’ll have more than just a chill up your spine.
While normally you would go to 301 to look at art this Halloween season it’s been transformed. Welcome to the house of mirrors, that will surely give you a right of your life. After all, mirror mirror on the wall who’s the fairest of them all?
Where: The Santa Monica Pier
Take ride through the tunnel of horrors. Better have someone to grab onto because before you know it the haunted mermaids and sea creatures will have your boat over turned.
What: Midnight Horror Movies
Grab a cuddle buddy and your favorite blanket as you get ready for an all night spooky movie marathon
Treat yourself to some quick stabbing and carving at Lucky’s. The bar will be hosting their annual pumpkin carving contest. Keep in mind the more scary the better.
Pick up a bucket and join Santa Monica in it’s annual superstition. Take your bucket down to the beach and grab some water. At the stroke of midnight kick the bucket over, if it’s water then you’re all good, but if you dump your bucket out and there’s blood. Well then you’re doomed for the rest of the year.

What: Halloween Bar Crawl
Put on a costume and get your drink on. For one night only Santa Monica will be lit with the best and the spookiest around. Join in the fun of the annual bar crawl, but please try to keep your clothes on!
