So here is a “hammered dulcimer” which in this form I believe is a Greek santouri. (There is a list a mile long of all the different places and versions of this basic instrument!) Some other Greek folk instruments in there but I’m pretty brain dead...maybe a baglamas? A tzouras?
Golshifteh Farahani in Santouri (Dariush Mehrjui, 2007)
Syrtos - Mpalos (Andros, Cyclades, Greece) - Antonis Chatzoglou (violin) & Giannis Patiris (santouri)
Diamando (Tsamiko) - Giorgos Makrigiannis "Nisirios" (violin), Giorgos Stavropoulos (laouto), P. Lymperis (santouri) - 1918
If you are looking for good new Persian music
Listen to the Santouri soundtrack by Mohsen Chavoshi
SO GOOD
