22. Favorite Place I've Visited This Year

I think it has to be the Phillips Collection here in DC. One of the few paid museums (it's privately owned) but easily one of the best. I love Luncheon of the Boating Party, and sitting in front of it is deeply soothing. And the Rothko room is a very cool experience. Plus there's something so deeply personal about Childe Hassam being displayed next to a Van Gogh. I love to see my boy being celebrated, his art speaks to me how few things do.
