Dear Students, Sarah Glidden’s book, “Rolling Blackouts” will be in our Comics Room library when we come together for our first day of class in one month. It’s a treasure in every way and gives so much to me as I move through this hand drawn ink and watercolor world she made, following the question “What is Journalism?” The question took her to Turkey, Syria and Iraq. The formula for her experiences is in the language we’ll be using in our Images class. Words and pictures tell a story. We’ll be exhibiting at the East London Comic Arts Festival this coming June 16, 17 and 18 in London, UK!
