honestly wish radiohead didn’t have such a hold on me bc it’s so basic. i sound like a redditor. i wish something more niche was my genuine all-time favorite but it just isn’t happening right now. this is my cross to bear.

in the end i am glad i wasn’t super online as a young kid bc i’m sure i would’ve been extra traumatized by the internet but one small regret i have is that it would have jumpstarted the development of my inner voice. i write so differently from when i made a tumblr account like 3 years ago. i think i’ve said this before but i look back on something i’ve written only months ago and i’m like ‘this is the most cringey immature writing voice what was wrong with me’ and i’m sure in the future i’ll be like that about posts circa now. the input of a massive number of people’s casual online writing voices in such a short amount of time aged up my own voice like a decade. previously i guess i had only been working from like...an amalgam of books and tv and the people around me and the result was that weird immature “you know what? fuck this. fuck you.” kind of writing. (not in content but in like tone or diction, i know u know what i mean).
