Karah: Kevin and Sarah have been together since 11th grade in high school and stay together. They’re very physically affectionate and lovey dovey.
Sarnate: At this point, Sarah would already be with Kevin and would hate Nate’s guts. She doesn’t get how her best friend is so into him, she doesn’t get how he manages to get three people to fall in love him. He rarely showers and is an immature dumbass to her. Nate is annoyed by Sarah’s passive aggressive attitude and her meanness (he didn’t see her kinder side in high school).
One day they end up bumping into one another at the library, leading to some quiet bickering. They end up bonding over a book they both like and start to get to know one another. Sarah feels guilty because she has a boyfriend and shouldn’t be developing feelings for another man, while Nate is more open about his feelings and the gang is cool with her coming along.
Eventually Sarah and Nate have a talk about it all and end up taking it slow and the going more steady.
