THAT '90S SHOW (2023– ) | 2.02 “Something to Talk About”
If the show hadn't been canceled, what storylines/things would you have liked to see?
I would have liked a mention of the backstreet boys or britney, and some graduation or prom episode since it seemed they were going to show us the school year of leia and the others.
Oh what we could have had 😔, damn you Netflix
Thanks for the ask!
In a hypothetical third season of That '90s Show, I wanted to see:
Leia adapting to school/life in Point Place - whether she was at Our Lady of Perpetual Sorrow, or PP High
Some holiday episodes, since the show wouldn't need to be set only during the summer anymore! Thanksgiving or Christmas? Why not both!
Donna (and in my ideal world, Eric) continuing to make guest appearances and have storylines with Leia and Kitty/Red. I would like to see a Donna-Sherri friendship, too!
I think Leia/Jay's relationship would be tense and unstable throughout the season (due to the trust eroded between them in the S2 finale) and would completely fracture by the end of the season. Leaving open a new possibility/cliffhanger... *cough* Geia *cough*
Season 3 would be set in the fall of 1996 or in 1997. We could've had:
The Spice Girls! (I know that Ozzie was trying to win tickets in that one episode but I mean like true SpiceMania, which peaked in '97)
Also Hanson and MMMBop!
The gals going to Lilith Fair 🪷
Tupac's death (feel like Jay would be performatively deeply affected)
Mention of the Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan, they had their iconic run in the late '90s and were e v e r y w h e r e
Packers won the Super Bowl in '97. Would have been a fun episode.
Titanic, Men In Black, Austin Powers, LA Confidential all came out in '97. I want more silly fantasy sequences, damn it!
Friends was in its hayday
The kids would watch Nickelodeon and MTV, and play Nintendo 64 all day
An episode of Leia getting herself into a pickle on an AOL chatroom
Ozzie accidentally kills his Tamogotchi and they have a funeral for it
Princess Diana died in August '97. Kitty would be devastated.
If the show had continued beyond that, you're right, I would have loved a Britney-inspired fantasy sequence (she was THE sex symbol of the time) and some Backstreet Boys vs NSYNC discourse!
It feels like the infatuation with the '90s is kind of peaking right now. There was so much fun, nostalgic stuff for them to lean into still! Oh, what we could have had, indeed. 😔
Can’t say it enough but I loved Red’s scenes with Nate and I’m pretty sure if the show had continued we would’ve seen more of them. After all we went from this scene of Red pretending to talk Nate about an girlfriend and telling him to get out in part 1 to the two of them working on the house together and Red sharing with Nate about an ex-girlfriend (and this time quickly giving her name) in part 3

I just wanna communicate that since I am black and very proud of it...the reader will also ALWAYS be black no matter who I'm writing about.
She will be black from when she wakes up to when she closes her eyes.
To my followers, if you are uncomfortable reading my fics because of this, yall can unfollow or sumn😭!
I just wanted to kindly communicate to y'all that my reader aka y/n will always be a strong, confident, black woman!

"Wait, maybe since she's your half-sister we could do half-stuff!"
Nate & Betsy | That '90s Show [2023 - 2024] Requested by @piperslovebot
Dad Bro
Nate and Jay moments can nearly always guarantee a laugh, especially with silly jokes like these.
Part 2, Episode 2: Something to Talk About
T9S Spoilers
Nate and Jay constantly call each other bro. They've been best friends for many years, yet Nate never met -- let alone heard or seen pictures of -- Jay's sister?
🤦
Betsy is three years older than Jay.
She's giving me less-malicious-Laurie vibes.
(Yeah, I'm watching Part 3 and live blogging a little. I have positive comments, too. But my insta!reactions right now are from the author and T7S fan in me. 🙈)
