Lego Kpop demon hunters announced
I get to talk about lego again, hehe.
So, Lego has issued a press released teasing a buildable Derpy with the words 2026. According to Jay'sbrickblog.com (where you can also watch the video) it's coming out in Spring 2026, I don't know where they got that info from because according to maxbautde (a creditable lego leaker) who has more info on the set it's not coming out until 1st of August 2026.
Set number 72537, Buildable Derpy and Sussie, 9+ with 825 pieces and retailing for €69.99.

It said to be a display set which means it'll probably have limited play features which is a shame but it does look like it can move it's front legs.
Having the set number and price is huge because it means that this set is most likely in the finalise stage with only marketing left to do, with that even starting, meaning that unless the set gets cancelled, we are getting a Kpop demon hunter set !
Interesting in the teaser we see Derpy's foot with printed tile pieces so that means we could be getting a set with no or only a few stickers ! Thank the lord ! I hate stickers ! The foot also has to different shades of blue hinting that the colours might be accurate but it also looks very skinny to me ? It might be the angle and this is CGI so we'll have to get a better look at the figure. No idea what the Sussie will look like, we'll probably get leaked images closer to release.
Which will probably be August 2026 if I was to guess, Spring seems to early to me anyway but then again nothing has been confirmed for April so you never know.
We also don't know if we're getting minidolls or minifigs with the set, usually with buildable character for kids they do comes with a minifig/minidoll but I say it would be Derpy or Sussie maybe Jinu or Rumi ? However with the prints and the piece count, I doubt will get minifigs on top of that.
If we did, that would be goated ngl.
Anyway, maxbautde's post also stated that we're getting playtheme, starting with set number 72538, meaning the buildable Derpy is the start of this new theme, meaning multiply play sets (like I said previous) which make sense, Mattel are releasing Kpdh's dolls and action figures, a buildable lego Derpy and Sussie isn't going to be competition for Mattel plus depending on when they release we could get one over the other.
I said before if this 2027 then it's probably gonna be early 2027, most likely February or March 2027 but it could be January depending on Lego's release schedule.
We don't know if this will have either minidolls or minifigs, the rumour was minidolls which again make sense with Lego Wicked and Gabby looking like they are set to retire at the end of this year with only limited sets staying on shelves.
It also means that Lego idea buildable Derpy is probably not going to happen unless they make an 18+ bigger buildable Derpy which eh, I don't really care for that.
No smart play sets either THANK FUCK.
