The last time I posted an update like this was all the way back in September/October 2024. I would like to post once every 2 months or so but that's not feasible atm.

I won't get into my country's internal affairs; I'll only say that it's bad, and getting more dangerous. My mental health is also very volatile but I'm sure that's how everyone's feeling right now - all eyes on Gaza.

My Instagram is completely shadow banned, btw. I know because my stories only get 1-5 views within 24 hours. I post a lot of Palestine news so that's to be expected. I know some people have workarounds to post tons of Palestine content without getting shadow banned but I haven't looked into it. If you want to follow me on Instagram, I'm @sarroora on there too.

I have one private commission to get to, then I might open micro commissions for a short time to collect money for Gaza. I'm aware most people on the West side of the world donate through GFMs, but in my country many people use a different method that guarantees the money's arrival much faster and for far less processing fees, especially for water needs.

For everyone's sake, I'm NOT sharing how we do it here. It's a pretty simple method, but I'm not taking any chances - you may have heard of our gov clamping down on people trying to help.

Anyway, here's how the micro commissions system would go - I'll take small orders for specific fandoms (e.g. Pokemon, Ducktales, etc.) in exchange for you showing a $10 receipt of your donation to a Palestinian relief organization of your choice. Easy peasy <3.

Quick overview of some projects and WIPs:

As of now I have 3 WIP stories:

Posted Chapter 3 of my Detroit: Become Human story, The Kamski Hierarchy. This chapter was extremely challenging to write, and got postponed over and over in part due to my terrible mental health and moving houses. I'd begun the earliest drafts shortly before the Zionists' genocide on Gaza back in 2023, and haven't been able to work on it for a long time afterwards. Now it's out, and the delay ended up doing a ton of good for its quality, but I noticed that its viewership is veery low. Whether it's because I posted in the heart of the summer vacation or because people simply aren't reading as much D:BH fanfiction anymore remains to be seen.

Posted 2 chapters for my Shadow and Maria-centric fanfic, Takotsubo. Chapter 1 was released in December 2024, and Chapter 2 in February 2025. I freaking love this story sm but given how much time was dedicated to writing during the first half of 2025, I'm going to have to put chapter 3's draft on the side for a while to tackle other projects.

Chapter 14 of Cats, Gangs and Leaders still isn't out, despite the general outline being written months ago. It's on my agenda that the chapter should've been posted in June. Lol that didn't happenXD. But I'd rather it be postponed than post something rushed. The working title so far is still the same ~ ‘Acey Deucy with the Little Choochie’

I've been communicating with a digital marketer on how to better showcase my work online since that's a massive weakness pf mine, not to mention I don't have the time and energy to create a good strategy for different platforms.

Working on several designs for various stationery products to sell online and in artist alleys/bazaars if I reserve a place in one

I realized I still haven't drawn the poll winner's illustration of Donald! I'm still staring at this one in the agenda in disbelief OML lol XD

Ugh man, don't even remind me how sad it is that we weren't able to get more de Spell lore and backstory. But I'm glad we got anything at all! I'm just gonna post asking people into creating content every once in a while and hope I don't get blocked lol

I know! I was just telling @shimshamrock I had already lost all hope to see Poe at all when they actually give him to us!

It's good that we got him and by giving us so little they open up a box of HC and theories and that's good too.

I wanna keep posting about him tho I can't tell when for I don't know yet

*randomly knocks on your door and whispers* can you give me Top Cat hcs on the gang

To begin, this is a headcanon that @micaxiii and I talked about a long time ago... but I think the ultimate end game for the gang is for them to all move into Dibble’s apartment-- and for them to get jobs. I know, I know-- the horror! The shock! Yet, in Top Cat’s eyes, it gets WORSE! He’s going to end up working as a janitor at the district station Dibble works for, because of Dibble putting in a good word about him to get it. I know, I can hear what you’re saying, but it gets EVEN WORSE...

Top Cat is going to actually LIKE doing it.

I suppose I should explain. Pretty much the idea is that over time the gang will have character growth and realize just what all Dibble is doing for them. He offered them a home, he puts food in their bellies, he puts up with all their odd  cat behavior. And somewhere, deep inside them, they’re touched. So it starts little. They help around they apartment, they cook and clean up after themselves. And little by little they cut down on their schemes-- until one day they realize they haven’t done a scheme at all in the past several weeks! What has become of them?!

I’m going to side step some, and talk about our other Feline Friends now:

Let’s talk about Brain. To start-- he’s actually really talented with numbers. And one day, after a long day of work, Officer Dibble comes home to see his kitchen table covered with organized piles of papers and Brain writing stuff down as the rest are doing different chores. Of course, old habits makes him suspicious as he asks what’s going on-- and Top Cat of course intervenes-- as he had already stopped everything he was doing as he greeted the man anyway. TC goes on to mention that they were cleaning out his closet, and saw a box of his receipts-- it looks like you’ve done nothing with it! Don’t you know tax season is upon us! Let me guess, you’re the type to put off filing your taxes to the last minute-- say no more, say no more. While we’ve never filed a single tax in our lives, just thought I’d set ol’ Brain up to it. Help keep him busy-- better than having him fumbling and breaking all the dishes.

But Dibble is just only looking on at Brain amazed-- seeing the book keeping and the expenses. “You... like doing this?” he asks Brain, genuinely curious. And Brain goes on to say he likes numbers-- and how TC used to have him keep track of everything. ‘Aint he just a peach?’ Top Cat butts in, a smug tone in his voice with a touch of genuine fondness. But it’s that day that sets a lot of things into motion-- as Dibble realizes that all of them have their own talents. And not only was Brain good at organizing it all, but he even made Dibble realize there was spots in his budget where he should be saving money.

This all leads to Brain being the first to get a job in the group, as Dibble talked his bosses into having him as their new accountant.

Moving on-- Benny. The running thing with him through the movies of the last few years seems to be ‘he cooks’. But let’s take out the joke that he’s BAD at it, and let’s make it more about ‘a cook is only as good as his ingredients’. And with fresh food, he ends up being able to make DELICIOUS meals. He starts small, making stews. But after a whole week of nothing but stews, the others start to complain. ‘Always stew this, and stew that! Can’t you make anything else?’ Thing is... he doesn’t know how. He’s never had the time or the resources to. And thus begins his time watching cooking shows, and when him hogging the tv ended up getting to be too much, Dibble getting him a Betty Crocker cook book. He flourishes. 

It isn’t too long after that Dibble is asking one of the neighborhood restaurants if they might need an extra bit of help.

Oh good this is getting so long, I’m so sorry. Okay okay, gotta shoot these off faster. BULLET POINT TIME. 

Choo-choo is good with kids. This is a canonical fact. I like the idea of him either using this time to help his sister out more with her kids, or maybe volunteering his time out to the local orphanage. They compensate him some, but honestly he’s just helping put because he likes feeling needed. It’s good for his depression.

Fancy ends up falling for a girl that ends up playing by his own book. He’s smitten, she’s wild-- she has opened up his world, baby! In the end she is surprised because she thought they were alike when it came to not being tied down, and while Fancy does feel hurt when she doesn’t ‘want to be his girl’-- they still remain friends and enjoys being with her. It does make him realize the importance of communication, and makes him realize he never wants a girl he’s with to feel heartbreak like he felt ever again.

Spooks and Fancy are cousins. Growing up their whole life thicker than thieves-- two peas in a pod. While Spooks is also inclined to flirt with dames here and there-- he has always made a point to take his Cuz aside and tell him one of these days his playing girls will bite him in the butt. SO he was especially happy to see him change his ways.

Spooks and Fancy both end up getting jobs as waiters at the restaurant Benny works at. 

One day Top Cat will go to a Police Department Janitor summit and meet Penry-- aka Hong Kong Phooey. During the event something drastic will happen and Top Cat will be suspected of it because. And it will be up to Hong Kong Phooey, Officer Dibble, and the gang to clear him of the charges.

Oh man thank you for providing a link. I don't have the app in my country and I was just sitting here trying to study but couldn't stop thinking about how DuckTales is premiering elsewhereXD. I'll try to watch it as soon as I can but your hype is making ME hype

same my dude; there’s no sign of it appearing for the UK on itunes or the DisneyXD app any time soon, and it’s a real shame because you know a lot of us want to watch it legally (I’m still gonna buy it when it does get released over here) but my friend

September - October

God, last time I did an update post was back in April, so here goes -

Still on the hunt for full-time design work, but no luck so far. The economy here's falling off a cliff but I go to bed every night with a smile knowing 60,000 Zionist companies went outta business lol

My commissions will unfortunately be closed from September till the end of the year, as I'll be very busy those months balancing between many deadlines and obligations.

Here's a quick summary of projects I've been working on, and some Works in Progress:

Chapter 13 of Cats, Gangs and Leaders is out, after nearly 6 years of hiatus. Updates from now on will be only on AO3, not FFnet.

Chapter 14's being worked on. I really wanted it to be out in time for the Blu Ray release of Top Cat, but that's Sept 19 - so there's no way I can catch that deadline aaaaaaaa. But hey, at least know the working title so far is 'Acey Deucy with the Little Choochie'

Chapter 15's outline is mostly done but obviously some stuff will be left for last or changed when Chap 14's completely done. Working title might change, but for now it's 'Sometimes they Come Back'

Sticker sheets and sketchbook designs to be ready for possible future bazaars (focus on: Pokemon, SpyXFamily, misc.)

Still rather behind on Chapter 3 of the sequel of my Detroit: Become Human fanfic, The Only Truth that Sticks. I've missed writing it so much but I gotta get it right. Working title is still 'A Graveyard of Connors' ;)
