After Death - Revisiting Christianity

After my little cousin died a month ago, I've been in mourning since then. I've questioned my own beliefs and faith in God and Gods. I've avoided interacting with my deities due to this constant disbelief. However, in the last two weeks, I've gotten back to lighting Ares and Athena's candle and giving them offerings.

On the other hand, I've been inspired to research more into Christianity specifically Orthodox. I'm pretty familiar with Protestantism and Catholicism but not so much on Orthodoxy.

As I plan on going down to my cousin's funeral, I plan on visiting an Orthodox Church and evaluating how being there makes me feel and if I feel closer to Jesus. Furthering my love for Jesus, I've gotten back to reading the Bible. I do plan on looking into Catholicism but my main priority is Orthodoxy.

Satan and I are still doing great. He's been so understanding with me and my mourning process. Ironically, Jesus and Satan do decently well with each other despite their differences, but their priority is my well-being, so they cowork with each other.

Overall, I am glad I am back to doing my worship, and I do plan on some rituals for my cousin's funeral. I will update soon.

Long time no see,

I’ve incorporated Jesus back into my practice, it has been nothing but incredibly peaceful. I’ll be honest, I haven’t reached out to Athena or Ares, I’ve been so busy with getting my testosterone gel, university and my mental health.

I’ve also been looking into Judaism, just learning about how they practice their faith and what they exactly believe in. I have not reached out to my patron deity, Satan, we both decided it still isn’t the time to work with each other again.

Anyway, I just wanted to give a quick update!

Any fellow Witches have any advice on choosing your Witch name?

I know this doesn’t apply to every witch & not every witch has a magical name as it’s not a requirement.

I am having such a hard time trying to find a name, I’ve looked at multiple sources that give advice on names, but I would like to hear some personal stories from Witches on how they chose their name. 🩷

Finding out that Satan is my Patron has been the most life changing experience ever!

Hello! 🤍 I read that your deities are Satan and Jesus Christ. How do you personally view Satan and could you share how he is like in your experience? I have a hard time connecting with him in the way that I usually contact deities. It just feels different and I don’t know what to do.

Hello!

I want to state this is my UPG; others vary with their experiences with Satan.

However, for me, Satan is very fatherly and protective. He is strict but not in an aggressive way, rather a "Alright, let's refocus on the goal at hand" way. I personally view him as Baphomet and retain lots of goat imagery, and in another ask I got, which I will paste below, are other ways I see him.

"Satan appears to me in very animalistic forms, particularly a Western dragon. He also appears as a Goat and sometimes even as a humanoid. In my personal experiences, Lucifer and Satan are one in one being. However, He has different facets of himself. When he takes a more animalistic form, I refer to him as Satan. When he is more humanoid, he is referred to as Lucifer and, very rarely, Satan."

I didn't seek him out; if anything, I was terrified of him. Once I found out that he had been with me ever since I was a child, and simply was there to protect me, my fear faded away. As I previously mentioned, he is very protective, and he does not hold back on telling you or anyone things that no one wants to hear. He is brutal but honest, and that really impacted my views on the world and how I perceive myself. He is a lovebug, but he wants the best for those who work with him. He is very goal-oriented and self-improving with me. He made himself known when I had moved to a new city and started exploring my beliefs again.

My best advice is to start with a goal that you want to accomplish and reach out to him about it, and ask if he can help. He is different compared to other deities because he is one of the most feared, but it all comes down to being misunderstood due to centuries of stories that clearly were misinterpreted.
