any satelliteheart hot takes?

The song “Gleep” isn’t that bad. It may not be as complex as some of their later work, but it’s off their first album. I do understand the allegations of grey appropriation, but I don’t think I’d go so far as to say it’s “greyface”. Just because they used Grey words in their lyrics doesn’t mean they’re using them in a negative way. I think it’s more a cultural appreciation thing, using the grey concept of being a “gleep” and a “fleebo” that is hard to describe in standard.

Ok but for real, Satelliteheart discourse is so damn stupid. “Noooo a cyborg who experiences synthetic thought can’t write about their own experiences!!!” Do you see how stupid you sound? Also, a real life cyborg can’t be “robocoded”. You guys just don’t know how to act around real people.

In RGB and Alright AI are probably the two best albums technically speaking, but Praise to the Hacker and Explosive Decompression are close to my heart as well. I think if I had to pick an overall favourite i’d go with In RGB.

And yes I am aware of *the discourse*… Everything that happened after the release of The Admin of Hardware as well as the whole “can cyborgs make art about synthetic thought”. The latter which I think is incredibly stupid, the vocalist and songwriter is a cyborg who experiences synthetic thought so why should it matter that the rest of the band are organic?

And regarding the first discourse, I think fans need to learn to stay out of the lives of the band members. Like sure write your fanfiction and make your posts but trying to get them to kiss on camera was weird and gross af and probably led to the band breaking up. So I’m not against RPF but i AM against people being invasive to celebrity’s lives
