13. Name three favorite characters to write.

ok I guess I’ll do five.

- Locke Lamora. He’s a walking disaster who’s a con man good at banter. Hands-down my fave to write bc it’s all my catnips in one go.

- Bruno Buccellati. Like Locke, he’s a sad traumatized criminal and therefore I will be banging my fingers raw on the keyboard for this man. He also dies young and hot. 

- Guerin from one of my original works fics. Yes this is horribly pretentious but he’s a flirty sad traumatized criminal. ARE WE NOTICING A THEME.

- Isaac Laforeze. He’s sad and traumatized and evil and just unleashes all these devastating zingers? Good god. 

- Turin Turambar. Sad traumatized former bandit criminal who dies young and hot. 

- Sauron. Ok so this guy is just super evil and full of zingers, but he was hot for a time. I imagine he feels like he’s traumatized by people not letting him be evil.

You’ve posted a fic anonymously. How would someone be able to guess that you’d written it?

Some key indicators of the presence of Sath: 

1. Anal sex. Cocks aren’t really mentioned except in terms of nebulous size and certain difficulty.

2. Banter. Banter banter banter.

3. Fic goes careening between humor and sadness.

U. Any stories that took a abrupt u-turn from where you thought they were going?

Nah, I was super predictable this year, which is also probably why I ended up writing so much in a short period of time - I knew where I was going and went there.

What’s a theme that keeps coming up in your writing?

The inevitability of dying young and hot.

4. Do you think your style has changed over time? How so?

I know I wrote this Q myself but golly it’s difficult to answer. I do think my style has changed a lot since I started. I think that I’ve reached a point where I’m very consistent from fic to fic. I’d say my style started out very influenced by litfic, particularly the kind you see in literary magazines, but also by anonymous kinkmemes which were just for writing a lot of smut? I’d say now my work is much more... Hmm. It’s very focused on character and driving towards a central plot point rather than a general mood. 

11. What kind of relationships are you most interested in writing?

Answered previously, but for an extra, I like villain/villain. 

14. You’re applying for the fanfic writer of the year award. What five fanfics do you put in your portfolio?

Picking just from 2018:

2. Which scene was your favorite to write in [title of fic]?

Probably a tossup between Kylo’s fight with Iona and Hux’s backstory with Vale.

Which of your own fanfics have you reread the most?

I’ve reread Madness and Civilization, my “golly was early psychology racist, sexist, and horrible” fic a lot, as well as The Fall of the House of Shimada, which was me having a lot of feelings about haunted houses and conceptions of hell.

11. What kind of relationships are you most interested in writing?

I love ones that have intense loyalty, whether that’s well-rewarded or earned or what just... loyalty. Mmm. Also relationships when you know one/both of them is gonna die young and hot! And anything I can cram some banter into. 

13. For E-rated fic, what are some things your characters keep doing? 

Since you have asked twice, I think I’m gonna reply with... Hmm. 4 things
