I'm looking for an old fic I lost. Prince!Kurt was forced to marry Prince!Blaine, Kurt was very mean not because he didn't like Blaine but because he didn't like the situation he was in, so he never made an effort to establish a good relationship. Blaine wasn't even liked in the castle so he was sad all the time. I remember Blaine crying in the bed and I think it was mpeg (Blaine). At one point Burt talks some sense into Kurt. I know it's vague, if you can help me you are truly goddesses ♡♡
I think this might be the one, but I don’t believe it has mpreg!Blaine. Let me know if I got it right. - HKVoyage

In order to get a powerful ally, Prince Kurt’s step brother Finn marries him off to King Blaine of the Deserted Lands.
Magnus’ response is a low, absent hum down the phone. Alec has his cell sandwiched between his ear and his shoulder as he strokes baby Max’s downy head, his hair impossibly soft under Alec’s fingers.
“Was it a good dream?” Magnus asks, slow and tired but sounding genuinely interested. Just hearing his voice is comforting to Alec — it’s not the same as having him there, of course, but sometimes these things are unavoidable.
Ever since they adopted Max, Magnus has tried to avoid staying over night for business. But he’s the most powerful warlock in the city — the continent, even — and sometimes he’s the only one who can fix the problem. He’s in Japan right now, consulting with the High Warlock of Osaka, so for the past two nights they’ve been making do with phone conversations that take place in the early morning for Alec and Max and late at night for Magnus.
It’s not ideal, but this is how their little family works, and Alec wouldn’t have it any other way.
“Just weird,” Alec says absently, cuddling Max closer. Magnus makes a vaguely offended noise in his ear. “Not because of you,” Alec adds with a smile.
Magnus laughs when Alec tells him about the dream, then breaks off into a yawn. Alec can picture him, lying on his side, one hand pillowing his head. Hair loose, glamour dropped, smiling sleepily.
“I thought I was too tired to dream,” Alec continues idly, rubbing gentle circles on Max’s back, “but apparently passing out wasn’t enough to stop me thinking of you.”
Magnus lets out another laugh, soft and pleased. “I can’t believe I married such a romantic.”
Alec smiles at that, wide and elated. His gaze drops to the ring on his left hand, something warm fizzing in his chest.
“We miss you,” Alec says, and then he thinks, I miss you, so he says that, too.
“I miss you,” Magnus says, and, “I love you.”
Alec’s heart does a flip-flop thing in his chest and he smiles. They’ve been together for years, now, and he’s still not used to hearing Magnus tell him he loves him.
“I love you, too,” Alec says in return, like a reflex, but no less sincere. “What time are you back?”
There’s a rustle of blankets on the other end of the line as Magnus shuffles in bed, and then everything goes quiet for a moment. Max snuffles on Alec’s chest in the silence and burrows in closer, one of his little feet kicking as he moves. Alec loves him so much he can’t even begin to comprehend it.
“The afternoon, hopefully,” Magnus says. “I can’t wait to be home.”
Home. The word is a balm, something gentle and soothing. Alec closes his eyes and lets the moment wash over him.
“Travel safe, babe,” Alec says, and Magnus chuckles. Alec can almost feel the vibrations of Magnus’ chest, as if he was here and Alec was resting his head in his normal spot, just over Magnus’ heart.
“Have a good day, Alexander,” Magnus says, every syllable sleepy and content. “I’ll see you both soon.”

13. [share some random historical trivia!]
Did you know that my namesake Karolina Eskelin was the first woman to get her doctorate in Finland? The year was 1896 and her field was medicine. pretty cool imo.
15. Were the history classes taught in an interesting way in your school, college, or university? What would you do to improve them if you were the teacher/lecturer?
At school I think classes were always taught in an interesting manner and I had good teachers. University classes I took in history were generally good, except that one old dude. His slides sucked and you were screwed if you did not manage to take good enough notes, bc his slides were basically maps. So ya know, that could be improved by better slides. But I think history overall has been a subject where the teachers have been motivated and passionate about their subject and made decent teachers.
17. What historical item would you like to own?
I think historical items should not be owned by people, and they should be available for the public to see, but maybe i would like to own copies of the magazines I am writing my thesis about, would be cool to have those.
18. Look at the clock and assume the numbers are forming a historical year (e.g. 17;58 would be 1758). What is the world like in that year? Are any significant events going to occur?
The time is 16:29, so the year is 1629. Based on my googling the Eight Years’ War and the Anglo Spanish War are raging on and the plague arrived to Milan in October of 1629. So basically war and death is going on, if the Internet is to be trusted, since I know nothing of this time period :D
22. [random historical fact about the place you’re living in right now]
The first summer university in Finland operated here in the summer of 1912.
25. Who is the most overrated historical figure, in your opinion?
Mannerheim, who else :DD
29. Are there any great historical mysteries that you are interested in?
Not really mysteries, but I would loooove to know how many achievements have been credited to men instead of the women who deserved all the credit.
Lynne’s review: HA! I enjoyed this little switcharoo! No matter what reality they’re in, Kurt and Blaine will always be together (much to Sebastian’s dismay)!
