Hi hi hellooooo anon from last time that went on a Sage tangent - I'm back and I'm doing it again LOL

Okay okay so like I've been mulling it over and I'm trying to imagine what he'd be like in an enemies to lovers dynamic/situation w the MC

Like what do you think that would even look like?? Personally I think he'd be one for taunting and bragging. I can easily imagine him showing off to piss MC off but I feel as if if the MC ever retaliated it would be most effective to make Sage feel small and weak, and it wouldn't have to be much but probably just a comment to twist the knife if he ever messed up, bc he seems to struggle with feelings of inadequacy and brooding

But I have a feeling that yk I think Sage gets attached to ppl he hangs around with fast, which is why he's quick to bugger off most the time. So if he's stuck with MC, despite being enemies, I think he'd get attached.

What d'you think it would take for him to realise his feelings in this kinda situation?? I'm genuinely so curious to hear what you think!!

I would never ignore a good character discussion especially when it comes to my favorite cat man. <3 Holding a special place in my heart and all.

I think it would be one of those ‘almost too late’ moments. I’m talking like MC is severely injured, on the brink of death, and he’s so confused because he KNOWS he said he hates you but why is his heart beating out of his chest? Why is he so afraid of losing someone swore he despised? He’s so confused but the idea of losing MC is killing him.

And then MC is recovering after the whole ordeal, and he refuses to leave their side. He’s talking to MC even though he knows they might not wake up or even hear what he’s saying, and he thinks that maybe that’s for the better because he would have never said these things to them anyways. The day MC wakes up is the day he can finally rest easy, and he is totally flustered when MC tells him that they heard EVERYTHING he said.

no cause this is so funny. like— julian falling asleep sitting in the chair across from you, and you don’t have the heart to wake him up. he looks so peaceful. but when he wakes up he’s immediately groaning and then complaining about his back, and telling you it has to be because of the way he fell asleep.

you do not have the heart to tell him that he always groans like that when he gets out of any chair. you just laugh and he’s so confused?? cause what did he say that was so funny? and then he’s demanding that you tell him what your laughing about, but you can only laugh more because he’s so cute and you can’t help it.

i could also see julian doing various dad specific things such as: developing atrocious dad jokes (i’m talking the worst of the worst) and opening the window just to talk about the weather on a really nice day (coffee in hand as a bonus).

Hi there! I know I’ve been off of here for a while but just wanted to interact on this blog so I can actually produce content once again. I’ve been writing poetry and maybe one day I’ll share that blog since I am more active there but I love love LOVE fanfics so I keep coming back to frickledatfrackle.

Once I’m settled (I moved across the country on a fucking roadtrip, could you imagine?!) I’m definitely gonna try my hand at writing fanfics again since rereading some favs has inspired me :)

Okay alright alright so,

Dancing with Sage whilst neither one of you have admitted your feelings yet - or if you're feeling angsty, the feelings could be one-sided.

I have a feeling Sage can dance but when he's with MC he's getting the steps right because he has to, because his heart is beating faster than it ought and because he's closer to you than he should be and if he doesn't dance right, then what if it ends? What if you don't look at him the same after?

Sage who'll let you take the lead, Sage who'll lead, Sage who'll do whatever you say and who'll always be the one to offer a dance. Sage who'll lose his train of thought if you ask him to dance.

And when the time comes and you're both too tired, and you have to go back home to Fathom, and it's as if everywhere you brushed against him when dancing aches for you to touch him again, to touch him more.

Sage who stays awake half the night, replaying every moment - every song you liked best, the dance you struggled with most (just so he can teach you), every smile you gave him and he just...

i imagine sage having a little crush on you at first and he doesn’t think it’s serious until he’s dancing with you and he’s holding you and brushing against you in such simple ways but he’s freaking out on the inside?? like this man is absolutely sweating and his hands are getting clammy and that’s half the reason he says he’s tired in the end. just so he can recuperate.

he has no clue that you return his feelings, so he’s up ALL night assessing every detail. because what if you do like this back? what if you don’t?? he just can’t handle it. he HAS to know but he isn’t going to outright ask because that’s just not like him. that’s when he starts acting really funny around you. like following you around but trying to act like he’s not following you around. casually leaning in closer to see your reaction and immediately pulling away because he’s more flustered than you are.
