I'm sorry but wishing people get doxxed for criticizing the animal husbandry of a public figure is insane. You realize you aren't morally superior, yeah? People weren't going to try to get her shut down because they hated her, they were doing that because she was refusing to engage with good-faith criticisms from qualified institutions and individuals, and getting the sanctuary shut down does not mean kill her. Meanwhile, doxxing is a *very* real threat to someone's life. I get you're upset but jumping to terrorizing people and potentially exposing to real life harassment is not appropriate.

I'm not going to say that Tumblr had more bullying and misinformation than other social media. Twitter is infinitely more toxic and Facebook groups are garbage scows. That said when Tumblr is toxic, it's lethal. Trust is part of it. Bad actors and unqualified "subject matter experts" are trusted implicitly when they repeat claims based on shaky evidence. The world's top zoologists aren't making 10 Tumblr posts a day.

tw: suicide I am actually in such a shocked state right now. I watched Saveafox's videos off and on, always thought they were really cute, the foxes seemed to be in good, if not professional hands. And then people decided to start a hate campaign against her. Calling her entire operation abusive. And now Mikayla is dead. Not coming back. Suicide. Maybe she made mistakes with the foxes, maybe it got carried away. But this... this is horrendous.
