Any tips for playing it on a mobile device?

don’t be too proud to use the save state feature if you have one, because FFVII is a 50+ hour game and mobile saves are fickle as hell

Just a reminder to ALWAYS remember what account you save your projects on! I was crying because I thought that updating to Windows 10 made me lose my writing, but I was on the wrong account.

Great reminder! I’m glad you didn’t lose your work! I would definitely cry too.

Friendly PSA to everyone: back up your work at least one place outside your computer. And back it up often. Ideally at the end of every writing session. You never know when an accident will happen.

For example, while we were writing qualifying exams last summer, one of my classmates spilled an entire cup of coffee on her computer the night before the document was due. She couldn’t recover it for weeks so had to scramble over a deadline extension of 2 days to get something written…bear in mind that we had been working on these for about 1-2 months.

TL;DR…back up your work frequently! I use Dropbox most often, my flash drive a little less often than that, both for current projects or important documents, and an external drive every couple months for ALL my files. If something terrible happens, this can save your work.

P.S. If you don’t have Dropbox or don’t want to sign up for it, just email the document to yourself every time you finish writing. At least that way you will be able to retrieve the document in the event of catastrophic failure!

Dark Cloud 2 may have been my favourite PS2 game.

But I never finished it. I had the habit of going through every single detail on the way to the final stage, perfecting everything the way I wanted them to be, dying on the boss, and hating myself for never saving the game on a timely basis.

My copy is far too scratched for it to run at this point, and I'm pretty sad about that.
