I'm flying for the first time today and I'm not nervous but I miss Person Of Interest I miss my Root I miss my Shaw
Hey @netflix Sup So if you're looking for a new show to stream, take on Person of Interest :) It's a great show. It's intelligently written, suspenseful, and emotionally draining lol. I recommend watching a few episodes yourself to see what the big deal is
speaking of @netflix, anyone who wants a season 6 of poi should click this here link to livechat with someone who works there and casually suggest that they be the ones to pick it up. the more fan interest they see the more likely it is they’ll add it to their library
and for those of you who have seen the new episode already if that’s the sort of love scene we get on cable can you imagine what it would be like on netflix js
For Sleepover Time: How did you get into Person of Interest?
simple answer: Amy Acker was in it and i stan her so I had to watch it (also the same reason i watched Angel/Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
not simple answer:
oh shit
this is a slippery slope my friend let’s get into it though: [fair warning: this gets soooo far off track but i don’t care bc it’s that good]
i first started watching last year in the transition from summer to fall and it was 100% because Amy Acker was in the show and on imdb as one of her “known as” shows, so i figured i’d watch it because i stan tf out of her. Anyways I’m halfway through season one and i realize she isn’t in the show until the end of season one, so i figure i’ll stick around because it’s been good so far and wow do i secretly love cop dramas especially since it is technically a sci-fi show. I get to the end of season one and start season 2 and i get really invested in the plot because of root who’s a badass hacker chick and wow is she hot so i binge season 2 bc why not, and enter in sameen shaw and wow another hot chick, who also is super badass. season 3 comes around and by that point i am so completely invested like wow, shit happens and it holds and shows for the rest of the series and root, man, both root and shaw become so developed during seasons 3 & 4 and their development is a beautiful thing and soon enough they flirt and flirt and god do they flirt until their relationship becomes canon and amazing and for the first time (probably ever) we have a queer-interracial-neurodiverse relationship that’s completely canon and thing is: the plot becomes driven by these two crazy kids after the fact and hope is not lost for them yet. This isn’t even mentioning Joss Carter who i could write multiple essays on about how she was the personification of the show itself but that would take me too long so another time...
honestly at this point in television i’m surprised neither of the wlw are dead but season 5 hasn’t ended yet i have hope for them and doubt sarah shahi would allow us to be baited like that like she’s a great/outspoken ally and
truth is: the plot has only been getting better and better and the show is about to end and there will be heartache along the ways but the payoff is so damn worth the shit one deals with on the show and tbh this is the first show i watched with a positive wlw relationship and really helped me accept myself past my problems
TL;DR: Person of Interest is a sci-fi show hidden under the guise of a cop drama and features a canon queer-interracial-neurodiverse wlw couple with a plot that continues to grow and be complex while still holding the core values of the show all during the exploration of moral issues underlying the human experience/exsistance
in other words, go fuckin watch it... i haven’t been excited about anything like this in a really long damn time [if i can make one person go watch this show it will have been worth it]
*My images from the Season 5 trailer please do not steal*
We finally got the premiere date!!!
