((yap session/theory

((i think. personally. the main antagonist is gonna be A. asriel/ralsei twist villain B. sans + papyrus twist villain OR its gonna be like. a truth vs ideals/ two points kinda thing, where both sides have a point but you have to pick. i have reasons under cut but nobody is allowed to call me crazy

((i just feel like it being JUST gaster in the end would be sooo predictable and obvious, like. omgg guys scary shadow mystery man is bad . like what.

((currently going with the two points one as my main theory for several reasons. such as but not limited to 1. “who will miss him” (“him” is used to refer to asriel and gaster(?) in undertale, but ppl would obviously miss asriel, he’s a really popular and well liked guy in hometown. gaster however (a lot of assumptions here) seems to be a kinda shut in bunker in the woods type guy.) since we know “papyrus is busy” (and he is labeled as “forgettable” in the ut genocide description, plus a very accepting and forgiving guy) i would assume he is going to be the one looking for him - because he cares about everyone and sees good in everyone. sans isnt looking, however, making me think that gasters more of a morally gray character? and asriel/flowey seemed to have very a black and white moral compass (to me, which is debatable). leading me into my next idea/point

((asriel is using gasters soul as a save point to play videogames with kris. first of all everybody realizes ralsei is the only darkner who can travel between dark worlds with the gang. second is eye colors. we see several reoccurring patterns with colors and souls and eye colors, the main ones im reffering to are sans (cyan/patience + yellow/justice), IMAGE_FRIEND/spamton (magenta/perserverence + yellow/justice) (and jevil just has yellow eyes (justice)). i think (big leaps here) image_friend is papyrus, who has magenta/yellow eyes (in opposition to sans’ cyan/yellow). this would mean they have yellow in common, which i think is . gasters color. (along with indigo or purple maybe (magenta+cyan))

((yellow is the save point color in undertale, but not deltarune. which wouldnt make sense, except cyan yellow and magenta can make either black or white depending on whether its print media (light world?) or digital media (dark worlds?). this could also be me connecting pieces that dont fit, so take with a grain of salt of course.

((*the egg thing is big for me but i could also be insane for it. first of all. hard boiled?? wont hatch but leaves due to happiness. i think that will be gasters good ending, however that plays out. on the other hand,

((have u guys ever heard of shocking a hard boiled egg in ice water before u peel it?? iceshock Is one of noelles attacks. i think the weird route/snowgrave will be the one where u fight gaster in the end. this is another reason i think gaster will either be good or morally gray - you have to be a total dick thru snowgrave to fight him. these last two points may be seperate from the main one, not sure.

Undertale Fans, Deltarune Fans...

Food for Thought, on the Undertale end.

WD Gaster's name is a mix of Wingdings and Aster, two distinict Fonts. But let's focus on Aster.

It's latin for "Star".

Where do we see Stars in the Underground? That's right, the Save Points. Which, you could say, are "scattered through time and space"--they affect time, and they're across the underground... notably ONLY on the path to Asgore, or the game path.

While Flowey knows about SAVING, only an Amalgamate references the use of the Stars as SAVEs at all. ( Honestly, that encounter might imply that the one they were trying to trick was Flowey... and instead, got You. I wonder if Flowey was giving the Amalgamates a hard time... )

Those with high DETERMINATION can see and use the SAVE Points. No one else appears to be able to.

Additional information: ... Aster is a kind of flower, or denotes a type of flower. Asters are edible flowers, and can be used to make tea. (Sounds like the Golden Flowers to me). ... Waterfall is filled with references to Stars. Be it seeing the real stars, seeing fake stars but they're gemstones.

What's a star? Can you touch it? Can you eat it? Can you kill it? ... Are you a Star?

... What was that about Papyrus solving the Horoscope?

Let's get meta.

Near most Save Points, you are going to find the hole of a mouse. These various mice inspire our PC to have determination as they save. They are ONLY found near SAVE Points.

Enough so that we can safely associate the unseen Mice with SAVEs, and possibly, benign sources of Determination. One day that mouse is gonna use that microwave to unfreeze Cheese.

Now, what's so meta about Mice?

... SAVEs are a game mechanic. We get tuToriel'd about game mechanics, and how it uses the keyboard.

... What's the thing that's Missing here?

That, like the font Wingdings, is capable of shifting form...

That, like a character or the keyboard, is usually capable of interacting with the world, but cannot in this case, it can only float there and watch.

Have you ever thought about a world where everything is exactly the same... except you don't exist?

That is very much associated with a Hand.

Everything functions perfectly without you.

I'll give you a hint about "Mice".

Ha ha... The thought terrifies me.

Those mouse holes certainly look like little doorways, don't they? The Mysterman seems to be pretty fond of his, maybe that's something to consider.

Sounds like Gaster's life is about the plans of mice and men, huh?

Deconfsu is an unknown entity child from the UNDERTALE Universe primarily, before making his way to multiple other universes that are connected from UNDERTALE into the more...fanon places. Many who have seen him don't know how he was born, where he came from, and how he fell into Mt.Ebott--but those who have interacted with him are well aware that his true species is either ...human? Monster? Maybe even both as a hybrid? Deconfsu's main goal in life is to cure his own boredom and make memories with everyone around him--only to then be bored again and relive those memories in various different ways! Upon his clothing are a various number of yellow stars--but not just any stars, they're all save points! With that many saves, Deconfsu must have a lot of natural determination.
