#IMMIGRANTS WE get the job done! // this is a nation founded by, built by, & CONTINUES to be supported by immigrants. #DACA doesn't hurt the economy but strengthens it. 91% are employed, 100% have NO criminal records, they pay $500 every 2 years to renew their permits, AND they pay taxes. I can't tell you how much money I paid to file for my green card & work permits before I applied for my citizenship; it was a long, expensive, and arduous process these last 20 years. Don't get me wrong, I am SO grateful to be a citizen, I am simply sharing my experience to hopefully enlighten some folks & let y'all know that it is FAR from an easy process. America is supposed to be the land of opportunity, the land of the FREE, a place of refuge, a place for hope, but it seems like that fantasy, that DREAM is slipping away with this administration. Like the countless immigrants before, these immigrants bring new hope, they fuel this country with their talents, their ideas, & many create businesses which in turn create new job opportunities for others i.e. Elon Musk (Tesla), Sergei Brin (Google), Jerry Yang (Yahoo), and I could go on, so YES, these are a few of the reasons why I believe in our #dreamers & DACA .
