Image by @jim_abernethy // Growing up swimming in the ocean daily, enabled me to fall in love with our aquatic world very early! The diversity and abundance of wildlife was incomprehensible in those days! Although I have absolutely no regrets about my childhood in the sea, these days, it seems as though I reflect back to the much better days, when life flourished everywhere you looked! Sadly my baseline is so early that it's very difficult sometimes for me to focus on the now, because I'm missing the then, the past so much! My generation was taught that the sea was an in exhaustible resource and we took and took and took before we learned that we were decimating the planet! I believe that's a big part of why I am such a hard core conservationist doing everything I possibly can To protect the few animals that we still have left!
