Buzos de todo el mundo vienen a la isla a ver escuelas de cientos de individuos. Este tiburón puede alcanzar los 4 metros de longitud, un gran tamaño considerando que al nacer miden solamente 40 cm aproximadamente.

Sharks come in all sorts of glorious shapes, sizes, and colours! In fact that's one of the things we love most about them!!

Worldwide, there are over 500 sharks, 600 skates and rays, and 50 chimaera. All unique and amazing in their own ways, and perfectly adapted to the environment in which they live!

From tiny Pygmy Lanternsharks that glow in the dark. To impressive filter-feeding Whale Sharks that can grow up to 17m long. Epaulette Sharks that use their fins to walk over coral reefs. And bizarre deep-sea Goblins with transparent skin. We could go on and on...

SHARK WEEK!  Even at the National Archives!

Yes, even archivists love Shark Week! Especially during a pandemic, when we can only rewatch JAWS! and dream of returning to the beach.

These highlights from our records show that the National Archives holds far more than just annual reports, briefing papers, and admin logs!
