Ingredients: 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined. 1/4 cup Cajun seasoning. 1/4 cup dark rum. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1 tablespoon lime juice. 1 tablespoon honey. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste. Salt and black pepper to taste. Wooden skewers, soaked in water.
Instructions: Dark rum, olive oil, lime juice, honey, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper should all be mixed together in a bowl. To make a marinade, mix it well. Remove the shrimp's shells and veins and put them in a zip-top bag or a shallow dish. Add the marinade to the shrimp and toss to coat them all. Cover or seal the bag and put it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to marinate. Warm up the grill over medium-high heat. Put the shrimp that has been marinated on the soaked wooden skewers. If you want, you can add pieces of bell pepper and onion in between the shrimp. Once the grill is hot, put the shrimp skewers on it and cook for two to three minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and get a little charred. While grilling, baste with any extra marinade. Take the shrimp skewers off the grill and serve them hot. Add fresh lime wedges and chopped cilantro as a garnish if you want to.
