Saw 4 (2007) When the seemingly impossible happens, detectives pull together to try and understand how and why the grisly murders are taking place! Another year, another saw, and this time they’ve tried to up the ante by producing a convoluted storyline that becomes kinda confusing in the end and also starts to become predictable! Saws original idea was amazing because of its simplicity, it’s straight forward approach left a lot to the imagination and allowed the film to flourish in its minimalism. 4 films in, with recurring characters, in a deep twisting storyline, the continuity and questions start to be questioned and things start to get a little confusing. At this point you start wondering about how bad this police force are, is he that clever, are there never missing persons reports for anyone not found. The questions start to mount and saw doesn’t answer them all. The gore is still there, the ideas are creative and not recycled which is good, but there comes a point where the gore and violence has to be backed up by something behind it, and it doesn’t always do that! The acting is as good as it needs to be, Tobin Bell reprises his role as Kramer, and does as well as he has done, Wahlberg is back with not a lot to do and we mainly follow Lyriq Bent as Rigg, who again does what he has to. There’s no wow factor but they all get the job done. Charlie Clouser still manages to piece the film together with his score which is surprising with how simple it is, but it works! Overall, Saw 4, whilst not being the worst film you’ll ever see, is certainly starting to show its age, and starts to feel a bit leggy. There’s life in the old dog yet... but how much, time will tell! #Saw4 #Saw4Movie #SawTheMovie #Saw2007 #SawReview #Saw2007Review #SawMovieReview #Omareviews #Horror #HorrorMovie #HorrorMovieReview #Sawathon #SawMarathon #Jigsaw #JigsawKiller #HorrorFilm #HorrorReview #SerialKiller #Cinephile #CharlieClouser #DonnieWahlberg #TobinBell #SawFranchise #LyriqBent https://www.instagram.com/p/CKGyILAlr5g/?igshid=1w9j88pzipd88
