John,Hoffman,Amanda,Lawrence:
Saw 3D (The Final Chapter (7)) 2010 Jigaw has set up another game, this time, after surviving an attack from his accomplice, he will seek revenge on those that challenged him. So here we are... at the 7th instalment of the film series that some see as torture porn and some see as clever. Me I’m in between, and the last chapter does a little to restore my faith in it, but not completely. The new set up is good, I like the mrs approach to the film, with the protagonist story proving to give person reason to be taught a lesson and the traps on those around him are logical and inventive. The ending is also enjoyable, and will take you on a little saw journey if you will, answers a couple but not all questions and even leaves you on a bit of a cliffhanger. Maybe I’m just desensitised to it all at this point but coming to the end of saw there wasn’t really a point where I seen Jigsaw as the bad guy, and never wanted him to die, which is a strange position to feel about a serial killer of sorts. Aside from that, the final chapter goes out with a mild bang, everything is pretty much as it has been throughout, the food music, the decent but not groundbreaking acting, some rinse and repeat scenarios but also some new surprises sprinkled in the mix! Overall, there really isn’t all that much to say about saw 3D, if you’ve made it this far congratulations, and you’ve stuck it out! The overall feel of the franchise is similar to that of a few long running ones, it dragged towards the end and the idea lost its weight. If you’ve watched a lot of these you can carry on and catch the end, but for a one off you’d be missing too much for it to matter! #Saw7 #Saw3D #Saw7Movie #SawTheMovie #Saw2010 #SawReview #Saw2010Review #Saw7Review #Saw3DReview #SawMovieReview #Omareviews #Horror #HorrorMovie #HorrorMovieReview #Sawathon #SawMarathon #Jigsaw #JigsawKiller #HorrorFilm #HorrorReview #SerialKiller #Cinephile #CharlieClouser #TobinBell #SawFranchise #CaryElwes #CostasMandylor #BetsyRussell https://www.instagram.com/p/CKhFM65FF8p/?igshid=1owwtav4f2avh
Franchise Retrospective: Saw Saw 3D: The Final Chapter If there's one constant in horror it's that any franchise entry with "final chapter" in the title you can be damn sure this ain't the last entry. And I'm kinda disappointed it's not. This entry seems to get a lot of hate but I honestly found it kinda fun. And that's something I think has been desperately missing from the Saw franchise. These later films aren't that great and one of the problems is that they started taking themselves way too seriously. They should embrace their more over the top nature and this film does at moments. The insane contraption that contains Chester Bennington (RIP) is one of the craziest and goriest of the whole franchise and it's fantastic. I also love that the trap eviscerates a bunch of Nazis. In previous films the traps have been filled with middle-upper class desk jockeys and junkies. Some of those people probably didn't deserve to be in their traps... but not Nazis. Fuck them. There's also quite a bit of fan service going on in this one. Dr Lawrence Gordon makes his return and we also finally get to see the reverse bear trap from Saw 1 actually work on someone and holy shit it's awesome. The story itself is decent and better than the last couple. I like the idea of a dude who faked being in a Jigsaw trap for fame and recognition. Also Hoffman goes full crazy and gives zero fucks except for killing Jill Tuck. The twist is actually decent and is pure fan service just kinda validating a theory that's been around since Saw 2. Again this film isn't really that great and if you haven't liked the previous ones then it's definitely not gonna win you over but if you made it through 4-6 then this one should be a fun surprise. #horror #horrofanatic #horrorlover #horrorjunkie #horroraddict #horrorfan #horrorgram #horrorfilm #horrormovie #horrornerd #movieoftheday #moviereview #filmreview #instagram #instagood #instafilm #instahorror #saw #jigsaw #saw7 #sawVII #finalchapter #3D
