i refrain from making conclussions since the whole set wasn't revealed yet but i just want to say a few points in the revealed mcc teams

first off,

red rabbits

tommyinnit, tubbo, nihachu and vikkstar.

now i have to admit, i never watched vikkstar play minecraft before (does he even play minecraft?) but i have watched niki, tommy and tubbo play in mcc. i believe that as long as they don't get a parkour heavy mini-game for the 3x multiplier, they have a solid chance on top 5

orange ocelots

quig, shubble, karacorvus and eret

this team is a strong team, and i guess it will really depend on which game they play as the 3xmultiplier that will really seal their deal, as how the whole game works. i think as long as they don't get a pvp heavy mini game from the start and just have it at the second half of the score, they can farm enough coins to even be the team that plays in dodgebolt

yellow yaks

sylvee, danTDM , SB737 and krytzyy

a shocking team, but a good team now that i remembered their game play. most of them work bwtter on team games, so sands of time , buildmart or bingo for a 3x multiplier would help them way too much and i feel if the game placing is in their favor, the lowest they could go is 7 place

lime llamas

ReNDoG, fruitberries, falsesymmetry and cubfan135

im not aware on how half the team plays but i saw false and fruit work and they are monsters. im gonna guess they would play in dodgebolt, as long as they dont get ace race on a 3x multiplier

green guardians

good team, probably one of the more topdog team this season. dream is good at parkour games, and as long as they don't get cursed with captainsparklez' 3rd place curse, they gave a big chance at winning the game. they have george who is good with a bow with them, and they have a very strong team

Land Use, the "Jobshed" and exurban corporate campuses externalizing transit costs to employees

Just found this great, although older, article from the SPUR Urbanist, which discusses the growth in job markets outside of traditional city downtowns and the effect on transit, land use, commuting decisions, etc. I found this particularly interesting re: the discussion about commuter vanpools and so on at the TransportationCamp "Employers and Transit" session on Saturday.

The article recognizes that many jobs ARE going to be and continue to be located at various ex-urban locations. According to the authors, the key is getting some jobs back in transit and density heavy downtowns, as well as pursuing strategies to get companies to localize around suburban transit hubs, as well as densifying sprawling highway-side campuses in order to service their transit needs in a better way than single-vehicle-occupancy high-mile trips.

I think this is a very interesting issue to look at, having a personal interest in the juncture of land use with transportation issues (as well as the attendant issues of GHG emissions, quality of life, and sprawl). Does anyone have a good resource on the potential of the California SB 375 law? I'm currently trying to learn more about this legislation, and being new here, don't have the network and resources yet to formulate a good idea of the key stakeholders. I'd appreciate some tips on great articles or sites to check out!
