Birthday party ❀ Aimi&Kaede

Kaede’s mom asked her for the thousandth time if she had everything packed with her.  Kaede nodded for the thousandth that she was sure that she’ve got everything.  She wasn’t even going to be away for a long time, neither was she actually really as she was only to spend the night at Aimi’s house to celebrate both of their birthdays.  However, every time Kaede would set a foot out of the house, her father’s wife would always worry for her, make sure everything’s well.  She liked that feeling and she kind of considered her as her mom, even though she wasn’t and couldn’t really replace her real mom.  She missed, even more on a day like, when she worked so hard to let the world welcome the small baby she was.  It still felt good to be protected and loved with that motherly kind of atmosphere.

The girl and her stepmother finally got in the car.  Kaede felt nervous, she hated car rides, even though she knew they were extremely convenient.  She just didn’t feel so much safe inside of a car, that’s what it was.  It brought back bad memories, but she fought them, so nobody would worry about giving her a ride.  Fortunately, Aimi wasn’t living so far away and she quickly ended knocking on the front door before being welcomed by her best friend and her parents.  As her stepmom was still talking with her friend’s parents, the two girls went right to Aimi’s room.

“It’s such a pity that Jina and Jun aren’t coming this year!  There will be way too much cake for the two of us!  Who do you think thought of having the tv show on again?  The stinky old man or the witch?” Of course she was talking about Jun and Jina’s parents.  She usually didn’t have any problems with them, but she lately kind of hated them.  She knew Jun wasn’t so happy with the show on again and that was something she couldn’t forgive them for.  “See what I brought!” said she smiling taking out of her bag a CD.  DBSD’s latest album, Kaede’s favorite since it was out.  Which was basically what happened every time her brother’s boysband released an album.  “I got it as a present!”  Her favorite birthday present until now.

"I don't know why I cried like that"

The older male lifted his head to stare across the table at the girl seated in front of him. She was wiping her eyes, though he hadn’t really noticed that she was crying until she spoke because his eyes had been focused on his hands on the table in front of him and his thoughts had been elsewhere as well. A local band had just left the stage, and the song had seemed to really strike some chords in quite a few people, including himself and his current companion. He had tagged along with his younger brother and his friend Aimi, and it always felt a bit awkward hanging around his brother’s friends considering he was already an adult himself, not a high school student like them. “It’s weird how music can do that sometimes, huh?” He gave her a sympathetic smile, nudging her milkshake toward her. “You haven’t really touched it. Maybe it’ll help you feel better?” At that moment, his brother returned and immediately noticed Aimi’s current state, her face still recovering from her tears that she had shed. “Ame! What did you say to her?” His loud voice attracted the attention of other patrons, and Ame immediately widened his eyes and stuttered out his next sentence. “I didn’t do anything! Mou, Taiyou, stop inviting me out with your friends! Honestly, I’m twenty already.” He always got into awkward situations when his brother made him tag along with him. Ame puffed up his cheeks and furrowed his brows as he watched his brother pat Aimi’s head and comfort her, saying things like Ame was just clumsy and awkward sometimes. Seriously, his brother was so troublesome sometimes.

"You're not useless!"

Kaede looked up at her best friend in the world, trying to hold back her tears.  She felt better hearing these words from someone she knew meant them.  However, every time she would go and meet with her mother, her real mother, she would feel a little bit down.  She wouldn’t remember her mom and she always felt a bit guilty about the accident.  Why her mom and not her?  She did feel useless when she met her mom.  She didn’t even know that Kaede was her own flesh and blood.  She couldn’t help but cry silently while Miaka was taking care of her.  And somehow, Kaede just felt bad because she considered her father’s new wife as her mom, which Miaka was never able to do.  She didn’t feel she was a good daughter.

But she could see in Aimi’s eyes and smile that she didn’t have to blame herself.  She was so young when her mom became like this, it’s normal she sought for a motherly figure else where.  She wasn’t as fierce as Miaka.  She was strong in her manner too, but she had different needs.  She bursted into tears and fell in her best friends arms, crying out loud.

“Thanks Aimi!  Really thank you, you always make me feel better!”

OF COURSE I LOVE AIMI-CHAN! Aimi-chan is my favorite girl in the whole world.  There’s no mesure word that’s big enough though to express how much (๑◕︵◕๑)

SH: I think Hiro-san is quite versatile isn't he? He fits the group's cooler image but can be really cute too! He's lucky to have this going on for him! Fun video, fighting!
