She’s about to protest when her jaws click shut at his comment.
“ Maybe I don’t like their scent on you. Smells rancid, like rotting garbage. ”

“ It sounds like you had a busy day my darling. Now what was it you wished to show me? ”

Reina glares at Belost, ears flat as she scrutinized him. "You know you better be careful of how you treat me if you want Belvos to stick around. I'm higher in the frienship food chain than you, and Belvos will gladly turn you to Yupper food if I get hurt."
Belost loomed over her and glared back, arms crossed. “You know you better be careful on how often you wear that suspicious look of yours. It’s not very flattering and you need all the help you can get.” He flicked a puff of dirt off his armor and down onto her head.

She had heard rumour about more Galra joining the Rebellion efforts that were not strictly aligned with the Blades. Though they had been vetted by several levels of security, and were not technically her concern, she still wondered. It was hard enough to remember at some moments that the Blades were truly allies, she was working diligently to try to amend her view on the Galra and not just see them all as treacherous back-stabbers, but it was not... an easy road it would seem despite her genuine efforts.
Perhaps seeing more would help. Not just Soldiers, but more... ‘honest’ sorts of tradesmen. With The relief efforts for various freed worlds underway, the shipping yard on the station was very busy, a good feeling of union as everyone worked towards goods or not just war, but shared efforts for relief and sustainability.
It took a little while before she found the ship she believed to be the one, with a shorter Galra woman going through the cargo logs of what they were taking wear.
Allura straighten her back and glanced around at the hustle and bustle before she approached. “Are you integrating well?” Maybe that seemed too abrpt, she carried on to try to explain. “The systems here work with your ship’s systems? And everything is clear?” Well... that was less awkward? She couldn’t pull the words back in, so she remained composed and treated it as though it all was normal.
"Y'know. I get that I'm not exactly threatening, but I don't really appreciate how you keep tiptoeing around Belvos, but are totally fine hanging around me." She states to Aryn bluntly, her brow scrunched in irritation. "And don't tell me it's because he's Galra. I'm Galra. It doesn't make what our species did to you any better, but, for my sake just try and be more open to him. He's nicer than I am anyway."
“Oh, uhm, I...” She stopped trying to root out words and just looked to Reina with a wider gaze, as she tried to suss out the blunt call out her behaviour. Tiptoeing was a nice way to put it. She outright avoided the man when she could. His even being in the room raised her blood pressure and heart rate, but it was his place. His ship, home, whatever you wanted to classify it as, so she made herself scarce instead of ever expecting him to go anywhere for her comfort.
She knew Reina was Galra in the back of her head, but it was true, her less threatening physique and mannerisms did help curb the anxiety some of the times. Not always still, but Aryn viewed her as the decision-maker of the two so, she did distance herself less.
“I’m not a fan of nice people.” She said as some wayward excuse. “Ulterior motives. You are upfront and I know what to expect.”
The problem more so was that she felt she knew what to expect from Belvos too, based on her interactions with many large Galra military types. Yes, it was prejudice. Surprise surprise, but the old wounds still were on her body, and the less physical abuse, prevalent in her mind. The truth of ‘he’s big, he’s dangerous’ would just prove to anger Reina, she felt like. Both from applying a narrative to Belvos the woman clearly felt untrue, and saying that these were things she was not viewed as. She didn’t aim to fear him, it was just a learned response.
She shifted, already tense from the conversation but she cracked her shoulder and then leaned forward, looking back to Reina from her thought process. She could try to keep the peace. “Open...? What... do you suggest?”

Kaydel came in and sat down, crossing her legs and looking to Laozen with a small grin, but it was a polite gesture, nothing more.
Being ‘assessed’ for active duty felt entirely beneath her. She understood it was procedure and yes, she was coming in specially to teach a team of Soldiers that were not under her jurisdiction, but it was a favour and having to go through this felt as though that favour was not quite appreciated as it should be.
“Shall we make this as quick and painless as possible?”
