Brewing an au where ronin and Cyrus went to the same robotics school when they were younger for uni. Cyrus is this big shot from a super elite stem magnet school and everyone knows hes a genius and he’ll do amazing things. Meanwhile Ronin is trailer trash from shithole, nowhere but also known for being this crazy raw talent who can build anything from scraps. And they’re not enemies or anything, but everyone always compares them, so they’re just generally aware of each other. Ronin has kind of already made up his mind not to like Cyrus because he’s a prep school rich boy, and Cyrus (who's kind of a bossy shit bc hes 18 and a dweeb with an ego) just gets frustrated when Ronin doesn’t follow rules as he understands them.

But sometimes they get paired on projects and that’s complicated because what happens when a guy you’ve already decided is your nemesis makes you laugh and brings you a jasmine tea from the vending machine when you guys work on said project bc you mentioned liking them. So now you’re frenemies? Rivals? something else?

It was a calm evening. Cyrus relaxing in his room, about to fall asleep....until he was jolted awake by someone literally plopping down beside him on the bed.

Cyrus looked over to see his boyfriend, Ronin, who was looking quite tense for some reason.

"Ro, Darling, are you alright?" Cyrus said with concern, scooting closer to the taller male. Ronin turned his head to look at Cyrus and sighed."I'm fine, Babe, just a little stressed for some reason. I don't know why..." He turned to lay on his side, facing Cyrus.

Cyrus thought to himself for a moment before getting an idea. He moved closer to Ronin, gently hugging the other, before proceeding to place a few soft kisses on the side of Ronin's neck affectionately. This proved to be effective as the other immediately relaxed, letting out a content sigh.

Ronin closed his eye as Cyrus continued. The amber brunette was honestly glad that his lover was willing to help calm him when stressed, as Ronin trusted him alot already.

And why not? Cyrus was so kind to him and gave Ronin a second chance, so there was no point in lying to the inventor.

Cyrus brushed aside some of Ronin's hair out of the other's face."Feel a bit better?" He asked, giving Ronin a loving look. Ronin softly smiled and leaned forward, giving Cyrus a peck on the lips.

"Much better, thank you sweetheart.." The brunette pulled his chubby boyfriend close, resting his head on top of Cyrus's. Cyrus smiled and layed his head on Ronin's chest, slowly beginning to fall asleep again.

Ronin began to drift off as well, and he couldn't help but feel so happy to have Cyrus in his life now.

Cyrus was stressed, even after releasing his new invention today. While he was relieved to finally be done with it after two tiring months, he found it a bit difficult to relax.

Ronin noticed this, so he was thinking of a way to relax Cyrus: Cuddles, which was his favorite thing to do in his free time. And so, that's what Ronin was currently doing.

Cyrus closed his eyes and let out a soft sigh, starting to feel the stress headache he also had going away. The bedroom was almost completely dark, except for some light coming through the curtains of the window.

Ronin played with the other's silky black hair, humming a bit." Is your headache going away, Cy?" He quietly asked, looking down at the raven haired man that was laying on top of him.

Not like the weight bothered Ronin, though, because he could always carry Cyrus so easily.

Cyrus nodded, leaning into the amber brunette's touch."mhm....my head doesn't hurt too badly anymore..." He said, his voice starting to sound a bit sleepy from all the warm cuddles and loving touches that Ronin was basically showering him with.

Ronin's smile widened at his boyfriend's reply, a warm, happy feeling appearing in his chest. The thief was relieved that his lover wasn't feeling stressed, and also wasn't forcing himself to stay awake to finish something late in the night, or even into the morning.

Cyrus let out a yawn and snuggled closer to Ronin, looking up at him with an appreciative and sleepy smile. Ronin basically felt his heart nearly burst from how cute it was. He moved his hand from Cyrus's hair and cupped his cheek, gently stroking the soft surface with a thumb.

The scene was peaceful, mostly quiet except for the breathing of the two men, enjoying each other's company.
