SBS recently ran a Dateline episode about prescription drug addiction in the US. They’ve done a couple of these recently. lol work is making us do an inservice on ebola precautions.

i work at a nursing home. ebola patients dont come to nursing homes. so if somebody from the nursing home tested positive for ebola, it would probably be too late for PPE considering i wipe ass all day. i would probably have bigger things to worry about :I

It Just Pisses Me Off When Fear Mongering Is Not Only False

But also puts people in more danger.

Like chasing people with a paper tiger is bad, chasing people off a cliff with a paper tiger is fucking evil.

Parabens are common because they are the best tested and safest option we have.  Newer preservatives?  Their long term effects are an unknown quantity.
