Scarlett/Ella, if you'd like/can! It's a rare pair started by me, and I have yet to produce real content for it, but I'd love to see something for them!

Ella deserves the world, and Scarlett wants to take over the world.

This is not a coincidence and you know it.

So, Scarlett and Ella don't even directly interact, but when has that ever stopped fanon shipping, lol?

First of all, consider: Princess (with a dragon curse) and a villain who wants to take over the world.

Second layer: canonically, Ella being able to control the robot animals.

Scarlett is the one who found out about the animals being mechanical and if she ever thought about the correlation, she would be completely baffled by that discovery.

"How could her harmonic melodies be the exact pitch needed to not only tap into the correct frequency the mechanical animals share, but to do her bidding exactly as she wanted them to... in song form!?

"By all means, the possibility of that being purely coincidental is too low of a percentage to occur. But perhaps on purpose...?" She thinks about Ella being the biggest sweetheart around. Ella can't possibly be a villain can she?

"...That might actually be an even lower chance. But true science never leaves out any possibilities! I need to figure her out."

So Scarlett talks to Ella, and right off the bat tells her that she wants to study her song and the way she interacts with animals.

Ella only hears that Scarlett wants to listen her sing, and she's completely happy to endlessly carry a tune for somebody. So she agrees to experiments and recordings.

Scarlett begans her studies on her but then they slowly get to know each other.

They sleep the same way :)

But it really makes me think. Remember Ella's reference to a minor spinal injury in her Elimination Song?

I know from experience that tweaking a nerve at the base can hurt like a [family-friendly thing.] But it's treatable at home, so I think that it's what Ella had, considering the general lack of concern for the contestants in this season.

So, Scarlett's the most logical on the island. Her objective viewpoint on things would lead her to adjusting her sleeping position for "maximum comfort levels to boost REM, blood flow, and provide relief on the curve on the spine."

Basically, sleeping on your side is the best way to sleep, and in the case of a tweaked nerve, I found that the best way to help that is on your side with a pillow in between your legs and/or your face. (How they are, except they're using their arms instead of pillows.)

So my "reaching for anything remotely in grasp" mindset for Scarlella makes me guess that late one night Ella felt the effect of a bad back and she woke up in pained tears and confusion. And she just.. sat there for the night.

When Scarlett finds out, she gives her that word of advice, which Ella finds out to be extremely fruitful in results and that's why they sleep in the same way.

And yes, Ella did sing a song of eternal gratitude for Scarlett when she got the chance.

Ella: (picks up a caterpillar and croons about how adorable it is, then she breaks into song about how excited she is that it'll turn into a butterfly soon.)
