This entire situation was fucked. Absolutely fucked. As he was ushered out of the limo by his very unhappy pimp, all he could think of was the unknown. Val was awful, but he hadn't even been told who this new contract holder was. The not knowing what he was walking into was worse than the knowing what he'd have to deal with with Val. But it wasn't like he had a choice in the matter. He never really had. The moment he'd been stupid enough to sign a contract with Val, it had been over.
His mind was racing as he was ushered into the building, trying to think through every possible scenario. When they finally got to where they were going, Angel was struck speechless by the sight. He just stood in the doorway, still and quiet, while the other two men hashed out the last bits of contract. Not out of obedience - fuck knew he wasn't a particularly obedient demon - but because he was trying to process the realization that the man in front of him who looked like a washed out, eccentric version of Alastor was now his contract holder. It also struck a deep note of fear in him, because if this man was anything like Alastor - or anything like Val - this was probably going to be hell.
"I, uh. Nobody told me yer name," he said quietly once he was sure it was alright for him to speak.
