Will the MC's backstory ever come up in the story in a significant way? I don't know about the other two, but the scavengers one is so open-ended and I got so invested with their toxic found family dynamic and fucked up bound, I just need to see them again come oooon please like did Viv ever regret their decision, how did Jugg react to everything once he healed, did Ricque abandoned his friends or was he actually speaking the truth and did try to save them, did any of them ever tried to look for MC or wish they did

I really can't tell you how much it means that you got so invested in the prologue-featured characters. I was unsure if anyone would get attached to this group in particular seeing as they're not exactly great caretakers or upstanding citizens, haha <3 'toxic family bond' is an accurate description, I think.
Fun fact: they were very, very loosely inspired by the Band of the Hawk from Berserk, though obviously with a very different (and less wholesome) dynamic and goal. But my hope was that people would feel some kind of way about them, whether that's positive or negative, even though they are prologue-based characters that only show up in one specific background.
However - yes, the MC's past will be featured in a significant way in later chapters! I've already worked out what happened to this particular group and really long to get to it, but I have quite a bit more content to write before I reach that point of the story.
It'll probably be very angsty, though :)
