summary:

Theo Raeken couldn't stay in Beacon Hills.

The dust has settled, and the fight is over. For now. But Theo knows there's more he could be doing. Everyone is moving up and out, and he can't be the only one staying stagnant and unchanging, living out of his truck and dodging the sheriff's department. So, with Scott's number in his phone and his blessing, he heads out to figure out who he is now, and maybe find some redemption on the way. To be worthy of the trust Scott places in him, and the position he offered freely in his pack (acceptance pending). Grow as a person or something.

The last thing he expected was to become a supernatural way station between packs across the country.

Hey, no one ever said growth would be easy. And dealing with multiple packs, Chris Argent (who sorta wants to kill him), the rest of Scott's pack over (reluctant) text, and Monroe's hunters? What could go wrong.

From PARABIOSIS, a flashback scene where Theo and Scott talk about Theo's perspective of him pre-season 5 plot: “You have no idea what people say about you,” Theo had said. 

There had been dark marvel stitched into the statement that Scott hadn’t known what to do with. “An alpha — a true alpha — surrounded by death. No one who went up against your pack left in one piece. Not a dark druid, not a whole pack of alphas, not the Argents —  ” “We lost pieces too.” Theo hadn’t seemed to mind the flat snap of Scott’s voice. “The doctors weren’t intimidated by <I>anything,</i> but they didn’t want to cross paths with you.” 

“So you crossed me instead.” It was an oversimplification of what happened and it was more than they’d normally say.
