23; Favourite crystal? Usually my answer is Tiger iron.

Which apparently isn't an APPROVED mineral species (nor does it look like something Crash Bandicoot would collect).

So my next answer would be amber!

Above is an amber carved into the shape of a bear, looking quite like a gummy bear. Next to it is a piece of amber containing bark, an ant and a FREAKING DINOSAUR TAIL!!!! It's a fossil that contains a fossil and has that nice orange translucence I also crave from Citrine. But remember, folks, don't buy amber from Myanmar. It funds conflict. Also shout out to Schalenblende! You look like a fungus that grew out of a coffee stain and I love you for it! You might be noticing a colour pattern...

86; Cookies or cupcakes? Cupcakes easily. Nothing against a good cookie, but I find I'm much more likely to enjoy a cupcake than a cookie. Especially with good frosting!

Schalenblende A weird looking amalgam of mineral ores, it usually includes the brown zinc ore sphalerite (http://on.fb.me/1GaU0GY), the silvery grey/dark dull grey lead sulphide galena (seehttp://on.fb.me/1IrEREY), marcassite (an iron mineral) and yellow wurtzite (a cousin of sphalerite, see http://on.fb.me/1vSZVdY). It was named from the German words meaning shell ore, due to its layered structure. So far it has only been found in Poland. No one is sure how it formed, but most agree some sort of sulphide gel (similar to the silica gel that forms agate and opal). The slab in the image measures 15x9x2cm.
