I *really* hate seeing Elon Musk's vile face and resent how successfully he's inserted his presence to many corners of the internet. It's difficult to avoid his vampiric visage or news about his gleeful tyranny and selfishness.
The flipside of that is getting to watch his cultural capital implode in real time. Observing his ego and profit driven whims blow up in his face. Noticing that more and more people just don't care about him or his works.

If you['re in the mood for Schaudenfreude: the US house of representatives is voting for the new speaker of the house.
McCarthy currently doesn't have the 218 he needs.
Normally the opposition just votes 'present' because the decision is already known. The dems are currently voting for Jeffries (calm down, he won't win) because if they vote present, it doesn't count towards the total, and thus, would let McCarthy win with fewer votes
(aka, majority of votes, not majority of the full house)
They're making sure that the GoP looks dumb. And its going great. This is the first time since 1923 that a Speaker vote has gone to a second ballot.
oh, and to try to gain votes, he's conceding to lowering the threshold for a vote of No Confidence. I've seen talk of dropping it from 50 votes to 10 or 5. It's not gonna be more ridiculous than the Brits, but looks like the 118th is gonna be full chaos.
