schizospec - an umbrella term for several mental health disorders which exhibit psychotic symptoms such as hallucinations, delusions, disorganized thinking, or other personality traits related to schizophrenia. under this umbrella include schizophrenia, schizoaffective, schizotypal, and schizoid disorders
vampirism- the act of obsession with taking life force, typically through blood, from another being. often seen in literature, folklore, or other media but can be recognized as a clinical/medical phenomenon. vampires throughout time have represented feared groups of people (immigrants, disabled people, queer people) and often being stand ins for the ‘evil’ that these groups were seen as. schizospec people being one of these groups. delusions can sometimes be connected to vampirism, such as with variations of cotards. while specific lore vastly varies across time and genres, vampires are typically seen as secluded, shapeshifting, generally gothic, enhanced physical capabilities or supernatural circumvents to physical disability, immortal, and weak to the sun, wood, and tools of spiritual cleansing
