Love being the only person within my friend circle that knows about a piece of media so I can explain the plot to them in the worst ways possible. Yeah anyways so Schmigadoon season 2 has a plot point where Toad from Mario revolutionizes a group of junkyard hippies and through this becomes a better christ figure than Jesus himself. This is because the actual Jesus ran off to get pegged by Sally Bowles. There's also a leprechaun.
