Hello, 2018! Say hi to my first piece.
Been wanting to do something slightly more realistic and emotional for a while. Took a while to find the right references that worked for what I want. I really wanted to play with lighting as well. I'm overall really happy how this one turned out.

I've been finally getting my butt back in gear, getting to work on commissions. But I had to take a small detour on a piece just for myself. It was time for a new Profile I.D, and I decided to take a bit of a turn from my last silly / dorky one. This time, I drew myself as a Moon Elf, Guardian of the moon and tides. I'm ridiculously proud and happy with how it turned out, though I still can't get over drawing myself without my glasses. It just feels so good to get back to my art, and I'm excited for the many commissions and personal pieces to follow. :>
A commission for Ash, of her daughter. She is such a cutie and was a joy to draw. (Plus it's always good to get in some practice on younger faces). Lovin' this one.

Such a fun piece to do. Really loved how it turned out. :D
So I felt the need to draw the horoscopes, (again many years later) starting with the stable Taurus. Why? Cuz I'm a Taurus. Deal. With. It. I wanted to go with an earthy feel, since Tauruses are Earth signs. I wanted her to have a static and stable pose, to be grounded and stubborn in who she is. Her outfit is simple and pragmatic. There's nothing too fancy, yet I also wanted her to have a slight elegant feel to her with the gold accents, to portray the Taurus's tendency for love of money and belongings. She's stern but also seems reliant, wise, and trustworthy. She has an emerald necklace and her symbol as a crown pendant thing. So yeah. That's my Taurus, well, interpretation of one. Let me know in the comments what horoscope I should do next. :>
